    King James Version Only...?

Scholars gave us the translation in question

    King James Version Only...?

The Voice does say she will have a miscarriage. Bible Gateway passage: Numbers 5:11-31 - The Voice

    King James Version Only...?

Now Davy is calling me names for telling a joke and you are liking his post

    King James Version Only...?

I have a degree in Biblical Studies but that has nothing to do with translating scripture. I don’t need a scholar to show me what I can read for myself. If I give someone something to drink and it causes a miscarriage that is an abortion, especially when that is reason for giving the drink. Ever...

    King James Version Only...?

That response was a joke. Ease up you don’t have to be a prude 24 hours a day

    King James Version Only...?

Numbers 5:11-31 in the NIV and the Voice ( I think that’s right, going from memory). In those versions the Preist gives the woman a drink with dust from the Holy place and if she’s been unfaithful she has a miscarriage. The KJV says nothing about being pregnant and says her belly will swell and...

    King James Version Only...?

I have never advocated for King James Only. I’m being blasted on another thread for liking the NKJV and the NET
  9. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

Sure it does. How can a better version be in such error?
  10. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

I don’t think the modern versions are uninspired and I don’t feel that when I read them
  11. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

Isn’t it great that even though the Trinity is a closed issue on the forum now we can still find things to argue about
  12. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

Your question was not addressed to me I’m not King James Only
  13. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

And you won’t address why the “better “ versions have Priests performing abortions at God’s direction
  14. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

Who knew that out on a journey actually meant in the bathroom?
  15. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

You lifted the first line out of my post and didn’t address the rest. Do you believe that Hebrew Priests were instructed by God to perform abortions? Numbers 5 in the NIV and in the Voice indicates that they were. There was a member of this forum in another thread making that case and supporting...

    King James Version Only...?

Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can’t we see that the KJV and modern translations both have value?
  17. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

I don’t speak it either. That’s why I like the NKJV
  18. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

I’m sure Jesus speaks all languages. The NT was written in Greek but he didn’t speak in Greek did he?
  19. RLT63

    King James Version Only...?

Because better source is a matter of opinion. Why not use both? I use the NKJV and the NET. When I was just reading for pleasure I used the NLT. But I was aware that I was reading a paraphrase. I have Interlinear Bibles that have 4 versions side by side. And by clicking a button I can look at...

    Oldest and Best, Really??

I have never read anything in the NKJV that I would consider deleting. Unlike other modern versions they included verses that are in dispute and provided footnotes to explain what was disputed. I don’t think more information is a bad thing.
