    The Gospel

well then, you better check your facts. You got it backwards....

    The Gospel

No, James' message was right on to the 12 scattered tribes. As for John, here it is again: 1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. did you mean "read" as past tense or something you want me to...
  3. FHII

    The Gospel

Faith is the evidence of things not seen. As for Hebrews 10:26, it is not talking about sin in general, but one particular spiritual sin which keeps faith from happening.
  4. FHII

    The Gospel

Nope.... That's a code word for twist scripture to fit your beliefs.
  5. FHII

    The Gospel

James might disagree (as he was still one to mix works with grace), but John doesn't disagree and neither does Paul. 1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. We don't commit sin, because his seed is in...

    The Gospel

What you have done is taken scripture out of context. Please look that up and see what it's talking about.

    The Gospel

I hope you do not steal, and I hope that you aren't a drunkard. It is not evidence of faith. If a Christian steals, it is unfortunate, but he is still a Christian. Same thing if he is a drunkard. If you continue in sin, you have no evidence to whom? Man? God does not look at the flesh...

    The Gospel

Fine.... It still doesn't have anything to do with the flesh. Grow in faith, yes. But it has nothing to our flesh, and our fleshly actions are not evidence of our faith. We may have them, but they don't do anything for faith.
  9. FHII

    The Gospel

No, he didn't remove all my personal issues. He didn't come to save or even clean up the flesh. Salvation didn't cost anything. It is a gift from God. Ephisians 2:8.

    The Gospel of Grace

Good verses Richard! Here are a few more: Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
  11. FHII

    The Gospel

Huh? So which is it? Is it a process which we must travel to be more like Jesus? Or is it something Jesus did on the cross? By the which will, we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10
  12. FHII

    The Gospel

Grace is a free gift. Not one that must be paid for... Not by us, anyway.
  13. FHII

    The Gospel

See.... There's the "but if [it]..." I was talking about.
  14. FHII

    The Gospel

Very good Episkapos.... Now how does the second verse say we have access to this grace wherein we stand? BY FAITH! Not works. I've seen alot of people that are using this verse and particularly the word "stand" to state that our works mean something. They don't. Stand in faith, which is...

    The Gospel

Or maybe I am being sent to prentis. My point is that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works. I don't have a "But if.." sentance after it that nullifies that clear point. What's prentis' point? Furthermore, what's yours?
  16. FHII

    The Gospel

What kind of works are you talking? Fruits of the spirit or fruits of the flesh? The Bible is very clear on many issues.... Grace is not of works of the flesh, we are sanctified by Jesus' offering once and for all... things like that.

    Celebrate Halloween?

Why do you believe that Hallowed is a derivative of the word hell?
  18. FHII

    The Gospel

Prentis, that's a nice answer, but according to the Bible, something different sanctifies us: Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Trials and tribulations are fine, they work patience, exerience and hope (Romans 5)...

    There Are No Church Ages

Hey Veteran, I'm going to hold off commenting because I haven't read all that is needed to be read about this.... Yes, I've read Revelation. But not the reasoning behind the doctrine. By the way, have you? I will say that some of your arguements are good, some not so good. I can't comment...

    Celebrate Halloween?

Hey, Just wondering if there is any good in Halloween.... Can anyone name one thing that's really good about it? Some candidates might be: 1. It makes the Children happy. 2. Children get candy. 3. Grown ups get to give candy to children. 4. It mocks Satan. 5. It is an excuse for...
