    The Cup of Salvations

People easily confuse the salvations of God...and mix them up so as to negate both ways. The basic salvation is based on doing what is right...like Scrooge in the "Christmas story"...he repented from his evil selfish ways...and began to fear the Lord and do what is right. God approves of...

    The Cup of Salvations

This is touching on the subject of the OP...so I would add in that knowing God directly is the narrow way. Walking in His ways according to His power. Very few will do that. But salvation is also at a lower standard than that. A standard that all men can attain to IF they but humble themselves...

Christians are mystics - we connect with God with our hearts

And yet...the letter kills but the Spirit gives life. So there is a paradox here. We can't trust voices and experiences...and yet the bible testifies to these voices (from God) and experiences and these become scripture. So really this is about knowing His voice and discerning what is from Him...

To ministers and Christian teachers of the Word

That is your pride speaking. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens me. In Christ we don't lose...we win. Enter into Him...strive to enter in through the straight gate. ALL have sinned. But sinning is not the only way.

To ministers and Christian teachers of the Word

The reality of being saved from what? The reality of sinning disproves the reality of being saved. Sins don't save you. And God doesn't save a person's sins to preserve them. We are saved FROM our sins...not IN our sins. So you have a very skewed and religious view of what you think salvation is...

    The Cup of Salvations

The problem we see in todays' church is that we have lost the measuring rod. The walk of faith begins with a binary shift to wards God and away from the world. But after that there is very little understanding, knowledge or wisdom. Most people remain stuck in first gear all their lives. The...

    Job 17

An interesting choice of words...mental ascent. Many believe they have the righteousness of Christ as a raising up of themselves in the imagination of the mind...or mental ascent. So then a heightened self-righteousness.

Does the manifestation of the Spirit profit all?

God always does things to benefit us...although we may not receive it that way. So it depends on how we receive it. And He doesn't give us things that are too far or too difficult for us to bear. So sometimes we have to grow a lot before we can expect to get the deeper spiritual things of God...

To ministers and Christian teachers of the Word

To me a church is not a meeting. It is about adeep friendship. So I would inquire at the depth of fellowship or friendship. Is it superficial? Is it religious in nature? Is it just a "saved" club"? Or are people really interested in spiritual growth and seeking the Lord. Is there meat...or...

    Job 17

Yet He breaks us so that He can put us back together in a better way...a way that works for further growth in Him. :)

To ministers and Christian teachers of the Word

It's a like Spirit recognizes like Spirit kind of thing. My sheep know My voice...so then many could seem to be on the right track until confronted with the actual reality of a God intervention of some kind. Then the reaction to that shows the intent. It is very easy for man to simulate...

    Job 17

In the book of Job we see how mankind perceives God's actions. Mostly wrong. And a lot of self-justification. But there is another speaker...Elihu...and he ends up being the voice of God. To me that is what the book is about...how God can speak to us through others...but to us it is just another...

Christians are mystics - we connect with God with our hearts

Building a bridge can be a tricky thing. A group of workers begins on the one side and another group on the other side of the river bank....hopefully to join up in the middle in a precise way. Now the Christian walk is like that too except for the added difficulty of there being fog and mist of...

entire sanctification is an obtainable goal.

Exactly. In the NT the covenant is spiritual...so then without giving up your life there is no "aphesis"...freedom. (not forgiveness) Blood represents life..and this idea of forgiveness isn't right....it's about freedom from sin...not just a pass on sins.

To ministers and Christian teachers of the Word

The fruit of the Spirit is not measured in conversions. Otherwise how do you account for conversions to other sects and religions. Those are converts too. There are many Christian false conversions. And Paul was concerned he would be cut-off from God even after having preached to many. So that...

“I will spit you out” ....

That's just it. We can't claim for ourselves what we have received from God...to do with as we please. Everyone that is alive in the world has received the gift of a body and a temporal life. And we all will be judged afterwards for what we have done in the body. Likewise we who have received...

    The Cup of Salvations

High end skills in languages doesn't mean understanding or accuracy of translation...since what isn't being understood is being passed over. A different language requires a different sensitivity to things like context. So then when a word leaves it's natural state...like the word "salvation"...

    The Cup of Salvations

Not everyone who has the Spirit dwelling in them sows to the Spirit. As Paul says to the foolish Galatians...having begun in the Spirit but now being made perfect by other means. And this is separate from having the Spirit of Christ dwelling within. So then we can be both His AND...
