@Taken Well....that's very interesting reasoning....thanks....! :) I reckon anyway that your family members' own reasoning for becoming tattooed was maybe a bit different from that interesting reasoning of your friend that was in prison for getting his or hers.

I don't see how the events of Matthew 24 relate to the church; the Great Tribulation is a unique event; whereas the tribulation principle of John 16.33 is one with us today.

I think this is after the church has gone. Matthew 24 seems to refer to events around the Great Tribulation.

@Taken Although your family is maybe all ink-free, yet some families of Christians of conservative tastes and persuasions seem to be able to have them done in a wholesome and tasteful way: my wife and I talked to a young lady with John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area in cursive script.

I think that the Great Tribulation of Matthew 24 will occur after the church has gone.

The Holy Spirit came to indwell at the church's birthday at Pentecost. I don't see in Scripture some Jewish Pentecost having happened at a separate event, starting some supposed entity such as a Jewish church.

As I see it, the church began in Acts 2 at Pentecost. People of Jewish and Gentile background converted to Christ. Israel did not start any church.

But Jews and the church are not the same thing, either in fact and real life, or in Scripture interpretation.
