@AceWestfall08 God does speak through His Word. If we are going to assert other ways through which God in some sense speaks, we had better have a very good knowledge of what He definitely says in His Word. The central theme of God's Word is the Person and Work of His beloved Son.

Hi @VictoryinJesus I am reminded of Isaiah 48.10: 'I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction'. The point in the end is not to avoid the furnace of affliction at all costs, but rather to be strengthened by the Lord in it, by His grace.

@devin553344 Acts 2.42 activities are very precious, health permitting; and if the person is sick, yet prayer and the Scriptures may still be possible to pursue privately...

If not saved in the end, then never saved, because the work of Christ at the Cross for sinners is perfect: "It is finished" (John 19.30).
