The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

Now wherever Jesus is there is the paradox...the tension...the scandal...the dialectical polarity of truth. Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human. Now people will religiously affirm this without giving it much thought...and then immediately stumble at the truth. If Jesus gives us...

Can men with a mullet haircut be saved?

With hair like that you HAD to be handy! :)

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

The bible is written as a spiritual dialectic...or a double edged sword...or a wheel within a wheel. Religion takes the mystery out of the bible and makes it easy to understand for the unrenewed mind. But that view is only a half truth. Whatever doesn't fit the ideological framework is ignored...

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

Actually only one part of the brain deals with chaos...the one that people have a hard time with..as your response is showing. Learning to reach into the unknown is what makes a person advance in knowledge and understanding. It's about connectivity. It's about the renewing of the mind...but...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

The ignore feature allows a person to dial out all that is superfluous and of nasty intent. Hey the net catches a lot of kinds of fish. (the kingdom net AND the internet) So we can begin sorting with the ignore feature. :)

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

Hosea 5:15 15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

Amen. Most modern believers refuse to be weaned from the flesh...they reject the bitter truth so they change the bible into a book of sweets. However to swallow that turns the sweet to bitter in the stomach (Rev. 10) So the end of refusing the bitter now is to suffer the bitter in eternity.

Why the sacrifice had to occur

The easy answer....to destroy the work of the devil. To win back mankind to God.

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

Concerning church order and guidance in spiritual things towards kingdom authority, unity and advancement. There is strategy and then tactics to bring the plans to fruition. Strategically we have the bible. But the tactics must be by the Spirit. We are to be led by the Spirit. So every step...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

More about oversight. The place of the overseer is in a spiritual place...not a physical one. It has to do with God's appointment and anointing. Concerning disorder brought on by the immature or the rebellious. An overseer needs to wait for the anointing to kick in...to wait until the Spirit...

In Memory of CyB Moderator BiggAndyy

I remember him. He was bold and brash....and confrontational at times. But he was real. I did find it strange that a man such as he would be a mod...not that that takes away from who he was. And I was over-shocked to hear of his passing. Very sad....actually hard to fathom at the time...and...

    The Grace of God

Actually grace is available as long as we live. Grace is removed when we die...and we are judged apart from grace...to see what we did with what we had been given. We will be judged harder by grace...because access to holiness and the misuse thereof is worse than simply breaking commandments...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

Absolutely agree. Godly oversight is crucial for order and good direction. A good leader eschews religious posturing, titles, salaries, and really anything worldly or carnal in nature. People who have been abused by the system have a great difficulty with leadership issues thinking that everyone...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

..agreement with God's heart. I think a lot of people are "gun shy" about leadership because of carnal men usurping power. But there is a big difference between order and control. In the institutions we see control. The people are seen as patients or clients. But in the organic ekklesia we see...

    The communication disconnect

Why not? Sure. It all comes down to this...how are you living with what you accept as true? Are you growing in love and wisdom and knowledge? Do you have an eternal purpose? If you are then that is a good thing and perhaps God has you there for that time. The problem is with a religious...

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

What you are seeing is the regular hypocrisy related to stumbling over the truth. I expect it. How many people have really walked in the light? But how many people are humble enough to recognize a helping hand? Seeing this as bullying? The opposite is true. Stumbling over Christ means you are...

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

Jesus Christ brings in a new level of intimacy with God by bringing in a direct connectivity to God..through Him. But many will not be able to understand this. A good example is with the pregnancy of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Now Joseph was a good and righteous man. But he was faced with a...

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

May I suggest the "ignore feature" to attenuate the religious and judgmental types from getting in the way of deeper truth. now Jesus was hated by the religious people of His day...because He sought to add a new layer or depth to the law. People were very upset about that. Even His own...

The biblical truth is a dialectical equation

For they who still think it's healthy to think on this forum...and only they. Notice how I presented BOTH sides of the equation that is offered up as truth in the bible. I am not throwing one or the other out..although that is how it is perceived by some here. And just the fact that I bring up...
