    Finding a church

I did answer your question. Not all interpret. Only those that are chosen by the Spirit PROPERLY interpret and put His words in context. The Holy Spirit gives interpretations to those He has appointed in the church. Just like vs 28 says.

    Biblical Mary

No, it wasn't settled. That is why "Paul and Barnabas and some of the others from Judea had a dissension (disagreement) and debated with them." They were then appointed to go up to Jerusalem to discuss this question with the apostles and the elders. And then in Jerusalem some believers stood up...

If these matters were already settled BEFORE the meeting then why would they meet?

    What is Mariology?

Hi F2F, So you believe that since "Mary is wrong on two (2) counts" that is evidence of her not being sinless or pure??? Your theory is that when a mother is concerned for the safety of her child and she calls His earthly father his father that makes her "wrong", sinful and impure? Mary

    What is Mariology?

Thanks...I know this thread is a month old and I just joined it without reading all of the posts. However I am addressing a sentence in your OP that I need clarification on without reading thru 159 posts. You said: It is widely understood that the treaching [sic] of Mary being the Mother of God...

    Good apologists

Ummmm....ok!! I get it. What I put on the record was, in your estimation, an opinion. Would you care to answer my question: Did that authority die when the last Apostle died?

    Biblical Mary

Circumcision and the issue of whether Gentile Christians should be required to follow all of the Jewish ritual purity laws were settled doctrinaly at the Council of Jerusalem. After all, if these matters were already settled BEFORE the meeting then why would they meet? They were only settled...

    Biblical Mary

Thank you Tong. Your definition of doctrine is different than the modern dictionary and Scripture. Doctrine is taught. Titus 1:9 says He must have a firm grasp of the word that is trustworthy in accordance with the teaching, so that he may be able both to preach (teach) with sound doctrine and...
