    Trying to quit smoking

Hi @FluffyYellowDuck Good to see you back. Great that your quitting smoking seems to be going well also.

What are some tips to maintain a healthy Christian marriage?

Time together reading the Scriptures and praying.

Can you be saved if you don't believe in the diety of Christ?

We do see the characteristics of personality with Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Scripture. Plenty of references.

Fed up with American Christian churches

Hi @kittehsareinsane Acts 2.42 contains a wholesome list of things done in a local church which may mark it out as being Biblical in character.... May the Lord lead you in your personal walk with Him.

    One and Triune God.

You are saying that Biblical Christianity as understood for 2000 years is all wrong, supposedly. So why do you come here and post?

    @TahitiRun Great passage there...

Matthew 28 shows that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are part of the baptismal formula.

what does the Bible say about Christians and nudism?

@Lambano Well there is being totally nude and totally clothed. Then there are many stages in between. I don't encourage ppl to go to nudist beaches. But I don't try to police swimwear, either. Otherwise one gets into going round in subjective circles about things like whether bikinis are "okay"...

    "I feel ugly"

@Wynona I guess there are polar opposites at times. The Lord doesn't intend us all to wear sackcloth and ashes: this too would draw attention to oneself. I know some black women like the idea of a headshave. (I guess from Scripture this might indicate a Nazarite vow; Numbers 6; women did it...

What is God's "Plan" For You?

@Lambano Well, in principle we learn more and more of it as we search the Scriptures in a Berean spirit.

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

@Friends of Jesus FYI, thread I started; ties in at least obliquely with your recent blog piece.

    "I feel ugly"

@Pearl It works differently with various people, according to their own, right? For my wife, putting on her face is so part of her routine when she goes out that the colour goes with emphasizing being distinguished/mature = positive.

    "I feel ugly"

@Wynona; @Pearl When my wife puts on her face, she seems to glow with colour. I like to think that she glows inwardly: she has long experience of God's grace, indeed.

    One and Triune God.

God in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is eminently Biblical. There are so many references.

    "I feel ugly"

Hi @Wynona Paul speaks of the "inner man" in Ephesians 3. Having said that, my wife does not consider herself dressed if she goes out without 'putting on her face'. Concentrating on the main aspect, without ignoring the other, right? cc @Pearl

    One and Triune God.

@michaelvpardo Romans 8.16: "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God". Always Scripture must be the yardstick, naturally.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

PS: @Ziggy Here is the quote I referred to: Heavenhome said: christianforums Seems like it now has such widespread social acceptance (which does not necessarily prove anything, of course), so now such a lot of older as well as younger women are having it done. GodsGrace commented on the...

GRACE ... is more than unmerited favor!

Hi @Eternally Grateful Interesting that 2 Peter 3.18 speaks of both grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Growing in Him involves both.
