  1. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

    I’m just reading scripture.
  2. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Have a look at this also. It appears that even upon Jesus’ arrival in heaven that God is still revealing things to him? The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his...
  3. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

So much for what Peter understood at this time. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. — Mark 13:32
  4. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

How so, it was the Spirit of God in Jesus were in He manifested Himself? If we are of that same Spirit should we not manifest the same that Christ did?
  5. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

I probably would have stated the same.
  6. Waiting on him

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Absolutely! Jesus is the image of the invisible God- just as a mature Christian should be today. I should be able to view the life of a Christian and see the Father.
  7. Waiting on him

Did the disciples know that Jesus was God before his resurrection?

The disciples didn’t follow Roman mythology.

    Faith: True and False

The way I see it is in the Acts Jews were being added to the church clear up to the destruction of the temple. Maybe also consider that no one could receive Jesus until the gifting of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
  9. Waiting on him

    Faith: True and False

Maybe the misunderstanding is yours.. it’s my opinion that the nations in the first century that Jesus was sending them too was the nations of Israel.
  10. Waiting on him

    The Garden

Precisely, Gods creation began with Jesus in the first century, this is why Paul stated a new creature. They looked for new heavens and a new earth. Your looking for the literal I’m looking for those that are spiritual.
  11. Waiting on him

    The Garden

I’m rather fond of @Mr E s post, he has a very unique perspective. The thing I like most about his perspective is that he doesn’t vilify God.
  12. Waiting on him

    The Garden

I heard a song by an artist years ago that reminds me of the voice I hear in your posts. This artist to my understanding was heavily indoctrinated in Mormonism in his adolescence. Have a listen?
  13. Waiting on him

    The Garden

The sons of God were not manifest until the gifting of the spirit of God. This began with Jesus, and continued post Pentecost. The epistles state they were the children of God/ born of God. Genesis is an allegorical story given of God to Moses it is referring to the Christ. I understand that...
  14. Waiting on him

    The Garden

Is it such a stretch to see that the Genesis account is speaking of a man created in Gods image? Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: — Colossians 1:15 Jesus was born in the first century. I would respond to the rest of your post if it were not a convoluted...
  15. Waiting on him

    The Garden

I don’t for one second believe that anyone will enter the kingdom base on which organization they choose to tell them what they believe. Assuming that a group of men have a more superior narrative than another group is a very sketchy thing to hang one’s eternal security on.
  16. Waiting on him

    The Garden

It isn’t complicated, until we are given an account of the Christ, which is the image of the invisible God. All he bestowed was love mercy and grace.
  17. Waiting on him

    The Garden

What if it’s the other way around and Moses wrote a first hand account of something that happened centuries after he existed?
  18. Waiting on him

    The Garden

Moses seems to have some very detailed facts about something that occurred 1800 years befor his existence.
  19. Waiting on him

    The Garden

I’m surprised to hear that the JWs have the opinion that God would drown the entire world.
  20. Waiting on him

    Faith: True and False

What do your believe the first century Christian’s longed to see?
