Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

A Christian loves because god loved them to overflowing A Christian does not have to serve self. He does not have to help his neighbor for glory or honor or to get something in return A child of God has his or her needs met and God uses others to serve that child if Hod. Also his eternity is...

Leaders That Don't Support Good Works or Overcoming Sin

Calvinistic thinking is bad and it has no power. Why bother trying to do Anything if everything is already predestined The word speaks about free will and doing good work through faith If everything is predestined then faith is meaningless

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

@Wynona I wanted to add. This is also why the natural man is said to not be able to do good. And Why the word says there is non righteous not even one. Or why Jesus said depart he never knew them, and the practices unrighteousness (sin) A non believer can do a morally good thing, But it is not...

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

If Agape love fulfills the law. Then anything down not our of love is sin. Basically it comes down to anything we do in the flesh, or not out of love. Thats why we can do a good deed. But not out of love, but selfishly, and this is sin.

I can see this. Depends on what our defenition of sin is This is a defenition amen Did you know the actual word “hamarte” means “miss the mark” what is the mark we missed?

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

again, I could be misunderstanding you, But I would say this thinking comes from a lack of understanding of what sin is. Paul had a besetting sin, Many believe his thorn in the flesh was given to help him curb this sin (pride) I do not like this term use grace as a cop out. I do not know who...

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

Perfect love is fulfilling g the law. Anything short is sin I ask myself do I live my wife perfectly. Of course my answer is no. So if I do not love her perfectly. How do I live my enemy perfectly?

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

How does this happen? When do we reach the perfect state of agape love for all people?
  12. Eternally Grateful

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

I see it different The more we see Jesus for who he is the more sinful we realize we really are. Because he is perfect love. We have not reached that state yet. It will be a lifetime goal.

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

Be careful. While I believe we can be sinless for a time I do not think we can be sinless I think the big issue is people do Not know what sin is. They look at the overt sins like don’t drink cuss or smoke. But sin is much deeper than this. If we look to the law of love I think we can start...

    The social gospel?

lol, we have done it in many chatrooms and many threads.. Most of which he is not even allowed to return to anymore.. Just the few left in this chatroom. I doubt after all that, he will listen now. But we can pray.

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

Well no. If you’re going to falsly accuse me, or attack me like you both have done. It won’t end well. Because i will call you out for it I am sure you would do the same,
  17. Eternally Grateful

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

lol But your talking to me, not to calvin Your looking through a calvinist lease, thats why you are unable to hear a word i say. Your fight is with calvin, not me, When you’re ready to discuss the word. And not calvin or arminian theology. Let me know

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

I actually was showing her how we should not respond. Like the way you respond to me. see here.. You just attack and accuse. No substance. You do not even know what I believe. But go right on ahead no sweat off my back

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

It’s funny. I just have to laugh This person swears I am Calvinist because I believe eternal security and no matter what I say she looks at me through that lense In another thead I have a Calvinist insisting I am Arminian because I have the audacity to see we have free will and are saved by...

Filthy Rags versus Fine Linen Bright and Clean

See @Wynona this is how you do not discuss things. You are so set in your doctrine you can’t hear a word the other says.
