No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Scripture is clear We have been saved by grace through faith. Not by works

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Here is the difference. You do it to keep yourself saved. You do Not trust god to change you you think you have to do it yourself Well good luck with that. Other people will try to show their works to god also.

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Then we would not listen to you. We would repent and fall on our knees and stop trying to earn salvation but call out for Gods mercy

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Paul described it for us 1 we work for a wage or reward 2. It is something we can boast of (because we earned it) It is still something you do to earn a reward god said he will reward us. Our reward may be just the fruit we bear I once again I am not arguing sanctification so why would you...

    The social gospel?

Amen the foundation is necessary. Unveiled a wrong root and you have no Foundation you will not stand. In this lifetime or the next

    The social gospel?

I am not defending anyone’s sin. I am saying we do not just judge them I have yet to find anyone stop sin because they were judged. But I have seen much victory over sin when someone comes along side them in love I thin after years of listening to you I have a pretty good clue He saved you...

    The social gospel?

So we should just denounce them and attack them and not help them What sins do you struggle with. What would you do if we just attacked you for your sin You tell us. I have seen little truth in all the years I have known you. But it will not save us or keep us saved. Yes you have. For all...

    The social gospel?

Matt 26: 28 For this is My blood of the [a]new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. It’s not rocket science. You can not use this to denote anythign other than release, pardon, forgiveness, Redemption cancelation release of captivity.. We are dead in sin, We must be...

    The social gospel?

You can’t set people free when the penalty of sin that made them dead to begin with is still in place. You have people being saved who have not yet been saved.

    The social gospel?

I am speaking to you as a moderator asking if this false teaching g is blasphemy. If this is not against the rules that would scare me about this chat room As for Heb 13 Heb 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. where is...
  12. Eternally Grateful

    The social gospel?

Because it is not true Abiding in Jesus is to walk in him. Jesus said we would do greater things. But that is beside the point. Walking like Jesus will not earn you forgiveness
  13. Eternally Grateful

    The social gospel?

I would hope not. That is about the most dangerous thinking against true Christianity I can think of It’s one thing to say the cross is atonement for sin but we have to still work to be saved It’s another to say the cross has nothing to do with forgiveness. It rejects the very purpose and...

    The social gospel?

I agree, when both parties start bashing each other with name calling, we can’t really complain. Both are in error. Thank you, But I ask again, concerning epi;s belief that the cross is not about forgiveness. 1. Is this not blasphemy 2. do we really believe the cross. the basis for eternal...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

I am thinking of what Jude said. They turn the grace of God to licentiousness. A legalistic code. We achieve salvation by this code of works.
  16. Eternally Grateful

    The social gospel?

Yes He entered the holy of holy place and covered the ark with his blood in the offering of atonement The things which God has against us is covered The cross is about atonement about paying the cost to restore mankind to right standing with God
  17. Eternally Grateful

    The social gospel?

This is god talking about forgiving each other That’s different than justification which is a court term. The death penalty is a death penalty. That’s the debt you owe god. The wage of sin is death The gift of God isLife through Christ (blood)
  18. Eternally Grateful

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

I agree about licentiousness or what you call easy believing. But legalism is not the answer. We must go against both. Legalism is a far more prevalent false gospel than easy believing. I have never met a licentious person but have met many a legalist

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Again, it comes to what is the root of the question Is it required to stay saved? Otherwise. We know that those born of God WILL WORK. So its not really a requirment is it? A licentious gospel is no gospel at all. But neither is a legalistic gospel of works.
