Jesus never said he was God Almighty

You are limiting the person of the Word, into a box called the Bible. The Bible holds only partial knowledge, not ALL. When the Bible says something to be true, and your experience lines up with that truth, you are a witness. Do I need to explain it again?

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Now you have dead woman assuming the role of the Holy Spirit. Why are all these fairytales, becoming canonized?

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

So even though I know these people and bear witness, you need a dentist before you believe. Sounds like something Thomas would say.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

So I have to ask what your perspective is?

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Read what I said. I'm not ignorant of RCC official doctrines. I'm saying THE PEOPLE do it anyway.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

The pope can claim Catholics don't worship Mary all he wants; and true Catholics don't, but the Catholic people of some provinces will do it anyway, especially when these phenomena happen. The point is Jesus does not get glory, MARY DOES. Satan doesn't care if Mary gets glory, just as long as it...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I'm not speaking against the core beliefs of the RCC or Orthodox churches. But the mystery religion of mother and child goddess being added to the Church, is outside core beliefs

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

This sounds like the heresy that the gift of tongues referred to in this verse is of the devil, because if it was God, He would already know all mysteries. Are you quoting JM or MU? Here you show you are unaware there are TWO manifestations of speaking in tongues. The first is given to all who...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Personally, I think because they burnt incense to it, actually worshiping brass and wood, that made it idolatrous because it lost its true meaning. I'm not against paintings of Jesus. The Jews had other things that foreshadowed Jesus - the table of showbread, the Menorah, the laver of water. All...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Discussing this would be off topic, and I don't have time to get into it, but I DID read your opening sentence, and your beliefs are completely unscriptural, though I can see how you would think what you do. The key rule regarding the manifestation of either our prayer language, or the gift of...

So I know your foundation, are you a Cessationist? What Covenant are you in???

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Okay, I'm confused. Where in all this thread did I say anything about tongues? You've gone on and on, and its like you are responding to someone else. So what prompted this long response.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

Do you mean the serpent on the pole? What about it? Long after the snakes were gone, the Jews kept worshiping it, turning it into an idol. It was only to be looked upon, and was a foreshadow of Jesus on the cross. Hezekiah destroyed it, so it couldn't be worshiped any longer. They had a living...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I don't know who you are now claiming to call Jesus a demon or false prophet, or why you would even bring up such a heinous claim. Yikes! But just so you know, it was the Trinity who brought Jesus back from the dead. Father: Acts 2:24; Romans 6:4 Son: John 10:17-18; John 2:19 Spirit: 1 Peter...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I use NKJV accept when I discern an error. Then I check the verse in question with all translations, including the YLT. I find the NASB to have the best translation of meaning of word for word translating, however, they do not include all the Word of God in their Bible, leaving out crucial...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I hope you hold up your words as truth and won't let JWs convince you with any scare tactics of "apostacy" if you find the Scriptures don't agree their twist of meaning. I am Trinitarian. However, I do not for one minute judge those who believe that Jesus is all three in Himself. Jesus is the...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

The JW's are not alone in slanting scripture to fit their beliefs, rather than letting God's Word mold them to the truth that frees. Many denominations do the same thing with other areas. The most dangerous being on the issue of sin. There are denominations far more dangerous than JWs and are...

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

We disagree on what that passage actually says. I go by the clear Word, and the context of all of Scripture. Your interpretation is totally slanted to be in line with JW doctrine which denies the deity of Jesus. That's the difference.
  19. 1stCenturyLady

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I know. Because that is what JW's have told you. You, like many others, are a denominationalist. I am not. While you are bound to your denomination, I am bound to God.

Jesus never said he was God Almighty

I see by the translation of the Bible you prefer, you are JW. Is that correct? Now I understand what colored glasses you are wearing when reading the scriptures. Your Bible does not have 1 John 5:7 in its entirety that could show you that the Word is God. Not (a) god as your version of John 1:1...
