Hi @ByGraceThroughFaith In a sense, I think 1 Corinthians 11.26 is a key: as we look back to the cross and as we look forward to His coming, meanwhile by His grace — in all this intervening period — we can keep proclaiming the Gospel to every creature, 'till He come'.

The great tribulation of Matthew 24 seems to refer to a unique, future event, while in John 16.33 it is the general tribulation principle that is definitely in view, with the comforting assurance also: 'but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world'.

It's a matter of asking 'Who?' as well as 'What?". Does 1 Corinthians 11.26 refer to Israel being raptured? No, it refers to the church.

Hebrews chapter 2 as a whole is very helpful reading. I do love Hebrews.

There was not any sinful nature in the Lord Jesus that could even respond to temptation; hence the force of John 14.30. Most gloriously, it follows: "For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." (Hebrews 2.18)

1 Corinthians 11.26 does not refer to Israel....
