@MatthewG Indeed and Heavenhome has commented that a lot of older ppl in her area have been getting them: Heavenhome said: christianforums I guess my point is that it can be done with a lot of social confidence today, but in terms of testimony the motive to get them as witness tools can stand...

Another verse close to the last verse posted is at 1 John 4.14: "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world."

@MatthewG I was thinking particularly about those who get them for a particular purpose in testimony. Dave L even said he regretted not having gotten a faith based tattoo when he was younger. Dave L said:

In Acts 2.41, those who gladly received his word were baptized. They were baptized because they believed; they did not become baptized in order supposedly to become believers.

If we can't proclaim the Gospel freely, how do we know to whom we should proclaim the Gospel?

@devin553344 Some ppl do get one tattoo and no more. Like young ppl who want to use a faith-based one as a witness tool, (rather than in order to keep getting more ink).

I would hold to the free offer of the Gospel 'to every creature'. Acts 17.30: 'God now commandeth all men everywhere to repent'.
