The two states, belief and unbelief….

Faith is such a keyword in Hebrews: chapter 11 would be unthinkable without it....

    "JUSTIFICATION"

Hi @MatthewG Hebrews 4.14-16: "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like...

    Encouraging verses

@amigo de christo Thanks for the 'like' just now; I thought it was a good picture as well as a really good verse.

    put on your spiritual armor

Ephesians 6 and the Whole Amour of God, is a great passage! :)

    Natural Health

@Mantis Some of those sorts of pictures can be very artistic; although like you say it's not always as realistic as a photo would be...

    The Biblical Foundations of Purgatory

I don't believe in being saved, then lost, then saved, then lost..... Romans 8 for example is a tremendous statement of the security of the believer founded upon the finished work of Christ, Who intercedes for and keeps His own continually.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@GodsGrace Well, I kind of agree. I suppose that a neck tattoo - which I don't really like the idea of - is kind of like a sleeve design, only for the neck instead of the arm. My wife and I anyway were recently in a restaurant and the chatty and nice waitress had a full sleeve tattoo: it seems...

Faith to become a SON of God.

John 1.12 comes to mind: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name..."

    KJV Only...which one!

I do appreciate the King James and I do appreciate the Received Text. (There have been a number of editions of these, of course.)

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Thanks for your post. So would you even say the same about a Christian young man or woman simply getting ears pierced?

    The Biblical Foundations of Purgatory

I do believe in the eternal security of the true child of God, Romans 8.38-39. Otherwise the work of Christ was never of any effect in the first place.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@GodsGrace Well, I was just following your point about throat ones, but no it doesn't seem to me like a really sensible placement. The one that Rita described seems like it was well planned and linked in with how she saw herself as a Christian woman and as you would agree and know she certainly...

@GodsGrace "It is finished" (John 19.30).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@GodsGrace Well, yes, in a sense, indeed; but I guess the particular context in mind was the effectiveness of a faith tattoo design as a witness tool and opportunity (Bible quote or ref., etc., Christian fish sign <><, or whatever - plus placement.). Well, I guess that placement shows quite...

    The Biblical Foundations of Purgatory

I agree with you in your reading of Scripture about the sufficiency of the purging of sins by the Lord Jesus at the Cross.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@GodsGrace Good point! Seems anyway now in the Bible Belt it's widely regarded as important for them to be visible: QueenCat said: forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot com I still think - as well as visibility - the question of whether the faith based design is well planned and effective as a...
