    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

I find it fascinating that God would have Elijah and Moses body go directly to heaven but the mother of His child has to stay here on earth. Mary

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Perhaps I wasn’t clear. I apologize. Once you have died and (hopefully) your soul goes to heaven YOU (your soul) can no longer pray? Mary

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Hi PW, I agree and The Church agrees with you. We can certainly ask those who are living to pray/intercede for us. We are also not to consult with the dead. To consult with the dead is necromancy and that is forbidden by The Church. Yes, the Apostles are our example. I do not know of any...

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Thank you PW, LOL....Thank you for taking that bullet. You are brave. I hope nobody goes after you for being honest. The point about Jesus, Elijah and Moses is that he was communicating with dead people. If Scripture prohibits it then Jesus violated Scripture.

You can intercede for sinners. It’s called praying!

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Hi, Deuteronomy 18:11 does not say that we must never ask the deceased to pray or intercede for us. If you are talking about necromancy then Jesus is guilty of it also when he spoke to Elijah and Moses. Didn’t he say we will do greater things than He in John 14:12? Are we not called to be...

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Well put! I never thought of it that way.

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

It has been reported that Atheist and non-Catholic Christians witnessed the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima. Did the Catholic Church trick them also? Curious

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Hey dodgeball......are you going to let pride get in your way or are you going to answer my question: Soooooooo what I said is true. Are you ready to admit that? Or are you going to still deny it? Yes, it does happen (probably) daily worldwide. And ANYONE who does it would be violating...

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

What I feel/think about it doesn't matter. It only matter what Scripture says. After we have professed our faith in Jesus and become regenerated by the Holy Spirit in baptism we, at times, will separate ourselves from God by sinning. It is these times that we are called to be reconciled to...

    Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

Hi enoch, Mariolatry (Gr. Μαρία, Mary, and λατρεία, adorations) is the technical term given by the Protestant world to the worship which Romanists render to the Virgin Mary. (Mariolatry from the McClintock and Strong Biblical Cyclopedia.) The word was recorded from the early 17th century, the...
