Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@devin553344 Heart2Soul said: It's probably fair to say also that it's also long been almost the norm for military men and women to be tattooed, right? Someone was saying that most of her nursing team coworkers are tattooed. Perhaps among your former military circle, this would also be...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Rudometkin So did they actually mention Christianityboard as a source of their discussions that you heard on FM radio? It's such a hugely sought after means of expressing what people really deeply feel and believe that at any given time good tattoo artists are likely well booked up with...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

@Rudometkin My wife and I have been reading John 17 and it's so clear that just as Father and Son are united in their purpose, so also those who are in Christ are securely united with Him for time and eternity.

    Justification By Works

Hi @Rudometkin Good to engage seriously with the Word and discuss it; but when it goes round and round in circles with slogans, etc., it's no longer profitable, right?

    When to Leave Church

Paul referring to a 'castaway' is referring to a declined quality of service rather than to any supposed loss of salvation or missing of the rapture.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

People who get Bible verses inked, also, would probably want them to remain legible. My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 modestly tattooed around her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also and she would probably not want it to fade too much and...

What Happens When You Believe in Jesus Christ

Well, I would set more store on Scripture applied to the conscience via the Holy Spirit, rather than feelings accrued via the Lord's Supper. Maybe we don't see it exactly the same way.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Oh I see, like for a rugged military man, done once, accomplished. (I reckon ppl such as your niece would probably be more likely to have more ink added eventually to counter the effect of fading, anyway...)

What Happens When You Believe in Jesus Christ

I like the lines of the hymn: "Only bread, and only wine, But to faith the solemn sign Of the heavenly and divine, We give Thee thanks, O Lord."

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

So did you consider having it touched up with more ink, maybe?

What Happens When You Believe in Jesus Christ

Well, I would see baptism and the Lord's Supper as symbols of existing spiritual realities, rather than tools to make them happen.

What Happens When You Believe in Jesus Christ

It seems like in Scripture baptism is expected of believers as a public testimony of the already effected inward change and faith. The water doesn't actually make it happen though; it's more of a symbol of what has already happened.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Well, there has been a lot of mother daughter ear piercing bonding; seems like now there is also father - daughter tattoo bonding (not to say also mother - daughter tattoo bonding). I think I mentioned that all the young ppl with Bible verse / ref. tattoos that I have spoken with have had them...

What Happens When You Believe in Jesus Christ

In Acts 2.41 those who gladly believed his word were baptized. They were baptized because they were believers; they were not baptized in order to become believers.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

PS: Anyway, neck is I think an increasingly sought after placement, like you said he has.

@Christ4Me From what you say, you would enjoy the Good Shepherd passage in John chapter 10.....

    Jesus Afraid?

There is indeed something very simple and refreshing about reading the Gospels, certainly....

@devin553344 So was your niece in the military also? (family tradition to join the military, maybe....) Let's hope she didn't get drunk, anyway.......

    Introduce Myself and Need Support

Hi @Holly Sit ; good to see you; good to make sure something of the Bible is read every day, with prayer. Romans 8 is a really great, strengthening passage for the believer.
