    Gods Standard is...

And thank you for your reply Nancy. :) There is a conundrum you are bringing up. If the kingdom of God is in heaven...how can it be also in us? Well, the doorway or access point to that heavenly realm is in us. Christ in you. But just having that doorway in us doesn't "save" us from this world...

Granted. But we are not a spirit but a soul. Having a perfect spirit is of no use to us if it doesn't convert our souls. It is our souls that will be judged not our spirits. The spirit within us is a potential that can save our souls. James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every...

    Suffering Loss

Grace is more than mercy. walking in grace means we don't need to be forgiven anymore because our walk is exactly like Jesus' and our perfection (in Him) the same as God's. It is easier to understand if you see perfection in Christ as a location...to be IN Him. Phil. 3:9 and be found in Him...

The wages of sin is always death. The universe and God have not taken a 180. You have a way of understanding that is fundamentally flawed. We are to be set free from sin....the sin factory which is in our flesh. We need a new operating system. The old one was flawed. But the new one is perfect...

    Suffering Loss

God has raised the stakes...upped the ante. Instead of just fire coming down...God's Holy Spirit falls down on us...like at Pentecost where the fire divided to remain over the heads of the followers of Christ. Those who present themselves as living sacrifices are the "Abels" of today. Those...

Paul was to present every man perfect in Christ. Colossians 1:28 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Perfect is a place. A realm. It is Christ living through us...from perfection. Sound doctrine...

This is false. We are not seen by God one way while we behave in another way. This kind of teaching is from the evil one...that would have us NOT enter into Christ by faith. So we remain powerless in our own fleshly strength. This is to play into the hands of the enemy. We don't have a goal...

We are not meant to emulate Jesus Christ....well one can try and perhaps improve their conduct...which is good. But for the Christian one is to enter into Christ and His perfection. Not I but Christ. The walk of Jesus is already perfected...and we enter into that...ready made...by grace...

    Suffering Loss

The problem we have with God is in the little words. Words like..."all".. We are prepared to sacrifice "some" but not all. The ways of God are all. We will not find God unless we seek with ALL we have and are. ALL our hearts and minds. It isn't all or nothing however...it is all or something...

    Gods Standard is...

Jesus is perfection. His perfection is His gift to us. But that gift remains IN Him. We need to go to Him to get it. We walk in His life as we abide in Him. But this is very difficult because we love our lives too dearly. We don't want to surrender our lives for another person to take...

    The Righteousness of God

Hey sister! We're living in a time where the standard of Christ has been brought down to a level where people can walk in the flesh and still call it walking in the Spirit. The problem with that, besides hiding the victorious walk from people...is to push back on the basic righteousness of...

Scripture is not the last word.

This is so sad...to have this kind of lack of hope of the relationship with the living God. :( It's like seeing a very popular band (say the Beatles) and thinking...I could never play like that....I could never write songs like that. It is taking the experience in a negative way as opposed to a...

Scripture is not the last word.

You are claiming that the bible is the "one that comes to one's side" the Parakletos (Comforter) that Jesus is sending to His followers? John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the...

    True or false?

At that time...yes. It's a mystery. God can regulate things beyond our imaginations. But we don't know His criteria. I believe that God takes His loved ones at the best time possible for them...finishing on a good note. Those who rebel against Him not so much. We can be ready at certain times...

Will the Anti-Christ come from Canada?

Little known fact. All the Customs agents in Canada (border guards) are named Duane...at least that's what is written on their shirts...even the ladies. (OK in French douanes means customs.)

Will the Anti-Christ come from Canada?

Sorry if you got that impression Mike. ;)

    True or false?

This is modern church rhetoric but not supported in the bible. Nobody is finally saved before then end of their lives...after which comes judgment. Nobody is pre-judged. The bible says..."Judge nothing before it's time." Therefore many believers are going against the bible they proclaim to...

How do you hear from God?

It's all part of the walk. There are desert times and oasis times...just like there are cloudy days as well as sunny days. But if a person wants to hear from God in a more overcast kind of time...put out a fleece. Like going in 2 directions at once (acting as if both were right) and asking God...

Scripture is not the last word.

The way I see it is that in the same way I always write a post as if I am writing it to myself...others on this thread are doing likewise. So if there is an abrasive post it is really self-directed. Are we not all serious about being conformed to Christ? Or do I have the wrong idea here?
