What does it mean to 'study the Bible'?

Literally it means to take in knowledge from it sir. The Bible states that it is alive and exerts power (Heb 4:12), I find this to be very true. Everyone who studies it will be affected by it's teachings, spurning most to make changes in their lives. For some of us drastic changes.

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

I should have put my 2cents in on this earlier, but guess I will now. Christians are not under the sabbath law, therefore not under obligation to observe one. Keep this in mind however, God does not change. When we were under law, the sabbath began at dusk on Friday and ended at dusk on...

The Peace of God Shall Be With You

I think that is one of the things I like best about being a Christian Matt. The internal peace that we have. Before I became one I slept with a gun by me, usually in bed with me so it was accessible. I don't know if age has anything to do with it, but the peace that comes with having a hope and...

Which method of execution is accurate and true? A or B?

Yes sir, I think they are correct as well. Why? Because of the mode of death, suffocation is the actual way a person dies, being hung with hands overhead makes breathing much more difficult than when spread horizontally. I prefer accuracy, so if the topic comes up, I never say Jesus died on a...

The Second Coming... what you don't know, but should...

I am not sure if they have said that Curt. I have been associated with them since 74 and have been encouraged to read and meditate on the Bible daily. Perhaps you have seen pictures of the headquarters in NY which had read your Bible daily on their building. Was that for us, no sir, that was...

The great tribulation is rapidly approaching, survival depends on doing God's will Mat 7:21

Jesus is never called Jehovah, and every Bible version I am aware of called Jesus the beginning of the creation of God at Revelation 14:3. That is the reason that out of all of God's created sons, Jesus is referred to as the only-begotten son, as he was made exclusively by Jehovah's hands sir

Where was the church at Babylon?

Strange, I could have sworn that Isaiah 43:10 was penned prior to that sir, but what do I know.

The great tribulation is rapidly approaching, survival depends on doing God's will Mat 7:21

Jesus gave to Thomas what he needed Ron. Clearly his face was not the same. Yes sir, they recognized him by his speech and mannerisms never by sight. Interestingly, they never seemed to know him twice by looks, indicating to me that he appeared using multiple bodies. Angels appeared bodily to...

    Levels of Spiritual Growth

The only time that most Christians become on the same level is when we attain perfection at the end of the millennial reign of Christ. When satan is released from his prison, all will have attained the level that Adam and Eve and Jesus as a human had, to face our temptation as they had to for us...

The Second Coming... what you don't know, but should...

Brother Russell legally registered the Watchtower Bible and Tract society sir. Jehovah had witnesses before He created people Rev 1:5;3:14

    Ask God questions

You know sir, that question was actually presented to Jesus: (Luke 13:23, 24) . . .a man said to him: “Lord, are those being saved few?” Jesus said to them: 24 “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able. Of...

Which method of execution is accurate and true? A or B?

Doesn't matter Brother Rando, no one knows, therefore strictly opinion. The Bible states very clearly Jesus died on a Stauros, that is what I teach anyway. The way people view it is their own personal choice. The literal definition of stauros is an upright pole/stake. I personally believe that...

The great tribulation is rapidly approaching, survival depends on doing God's will Mat 7:21

Jesus is referred to as Divine sir, however he is not Jehovah rather the first born created spirit being, the beginning of the creation of God. He is not God. We have discussed the spiritual/physical resurrection. Jehovah's witnesses teach Jesus gave his flesh and blood in behalf of man.

The great tribulation is rapidly approaching, survival depends on doing God's will Mat 7:21

I agree with a lot of this Ron, yes Jesus' body was gone, never seen again. Jesus appeared in the flesh on multiple occasions, likely not in the same body each time, and never in his pre-death body as none of his intimate friends recognized him. I fully agree that all righteous who will reside...

    What is Repentance?

Thanks again Bob for you kind comments sir.

Where was the church at Babylon?

May I ask how JW's are not Biblical. Yes sir we agree there is only one faith (church), and likely you may agree that the Bible identifies it. Would you like to see how the Bible clearly identifies the people of God?

    Foreshadowing events of the Bible

It is rather obvious that Abraham offering up Isaac foreshadowed Jehovah offering up Jesus, perhaps you will find these similarities of Moses and Jesus interesting as well: There was pictorial correspondency between these two great prophets, Moses and Jesus Christ. In infancy both escaped the...

    What is Repentance?

A sincere regret of committing a sin, and a confession for forgiveness, and a vow to not repeat it. That is the way I would define it Bob.

    Who Really Wanted Jesus Crucified?

The sad truth is his very own brothers and sisters of his faith Davy. Why? A parable Jesus gave answered that sir, they wanted what he had, same as satan wanted what Jehovah had. Mat 21:38 And like you pointed out, God took the Kingdom from them and gave it to a new nation, under a new covenant.

The great tribulation is rapidly approaching, survival depends on doing God's will Mat 7:21

I can personally tell you that will never happen since the Bible teaches otherwise. We will never have light that will contradict the clear teachings of the Bible. When it states that Jesus was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, I believe it.
