Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

We are discussing theology. Not once have I ever demanded you are with my understanding of the issue. But I believe I am correct in that I worship the true Jesus. I believe I am also correct that if anyone is worshiping a different Jesus, they're in trouble. Now you should be saying the very...

Who Is The "Root" We're Grafted Into?

Oh? You think God don't rescue us or protect us from the coming death sentence that is too be passed upon all the dissenters to Babylon's ultimatum? KJV Revelation 13:15-17 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

You have said a lot there, and I agree with all of it except the first part where you synthesize the two very different concepts of create and begotten.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

You are correct. It isn't about what you know concerning theology. It's about who you know.

Who Is The "Root" We're Grafted Into?

Interesting point. The same word was used in Matthew 6:13. I can quite understand how Christ can be our Redeemer through the Atonement, but I see Him as our Deliverer at the end, rescuing His bride from the surrounding nations bent on her destruction.

A Closer Look at the Genesis Creation Account

About the only thing you got right is that the Kingdom of God is not of this world. You placed it in the future as something not yet established, yet Jesus said to His disciples, the Kingdom of God is within you.

Ummm, excuse me, but doesn't the Watchtower and Russel's NWT state that the word, Jesus, is a God? Does not the NWT place the article a into the text where the Greek has no such article? What kind of God is Jesus then to you?

Who Is The "Root" We're Grafted Into?

Historicism as far as I am aware, has no concrete position on this because it hasn't taken place yet. Historicists have a sure and certain basis for their hermeneutic regards prophecy...we use scriptures such as Mark 13:29; Luke 21:28,31; John 13:19; John 14:29. We can be certain about history...

    Israel? Or the church?

I would like to clarify a couple of things about the meaning of ‘Antichrist’. Before we look at the antichrist, I want to look at the real Christ. Who is He? Let us go to the scriptures to find out what and Who He claimed to be. Matthew 12:6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Certainly there are differences in doctrine between churches that are periphery to what really matters which are salvational. And arguing or debating over those issues are quite frankly a waste of both people's time and effort. However, there are issues such as the original discussion on this...

    Anti-reformers month

Now this is fascinating, and starkly reveals your frame of mind. First, I have never suggested the Catholic Church began in the 11th century. The Catholic Church began as a true church in Rome, but it's leaders, when put under pressure from pagan persecution, compromised first by abandoning the...

Who Is The "Root" We're Grafted Into?

The old covenant was given to a nation which failed ok two major counts. First, they abjectly failed to share the good news of God's covenantal love with anyone other than themselves. Second, they rejected the Lord of the covenant. The Son of God did not die for just Israel. He died for the...

The Bible states there is one faith, does it identify it?

Absolutely. KJV Revelation 14:12 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Does your church... Do you... keep all the Commandments of God? I ask because you asked what church is identified as God's church. God's church is...

    Children... Ephesians 6

Skeptics, those looking for reasons to reject the Bible, often point to some strong words of God that appear in the Old Testament. And here we have Christians giving the worse perspective upon God in the context of His law. The idea is that the God of the Old Testament was harsh, vindictive...

    Children... Ephesians 6

Why is it either a threat or a warning? I see it as a promise of love and faithfulness. A promise to extend life as we honor those who gave us life. I find it sad that such a commandment which in Deuteronomy were described as being "for our good always", is used as a vehicle for...

    Anti-reformers month

So when did Christ's teachings of love your enemies and pray for those that hate you and persecute you, change to destroy your enemies and torture them if they don't confess to Christ and submit to papal authority?

No. I read his posts and see an honest Catholic. But not a Christian.

A Closer Look at the Genesis Creation Account

“For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom He will…That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father….For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;” {John 5:21-27}. What kind of life...
