Speaking in Tongues a Cessationist View

You mean...proper dogmatic beliefs. Faith moves mountains...remember? You think this is about accuracy of beliefs. Like say...the Spanish Inquisition?

    What "Real Born-Again Believers believe!!

We are to have faith in God....not just beliefs about Him. You are describing a human religion....

Speaking in Tongues a Cessationist View

The human brain can absorb a lot of biblical verse knowledge...by way of the carnal mind...but little to no understanding from this. As an example the C of C permit no musical instruments...why?...because they are not mentioned in the NT text!!! (but then neither is clothing) Talk about legalism...

    The Elect?

For Jesus it is finished. For us it is just getting started.

    The Elect?

Who is doing the accepting and who is doing the pleasing? We are to labour to be pleasing to God and be accepted of Him. But the modern carnal gospel has God trying to please us so we can accept Him. Fully backwards.

Workers of the flesh will not inherit eternal life

Is it surprising to find that false believers want to be saved IN their sins instead of away from sin. To know Christ is to know the power over sin.

    Who appreciates Philippians? :)

Just love Philippians. Not enough of them I say. :)

Workers of the flesh will not inherit eternal life

I don't think you have been paying any attention at all. You are speaking through a massive indoctrination. Nobody is guaranteed a salvation before a life is lived out. You are completely refusing the process of salvation demanding a guarantee before you get started. That is the flesh speaking...

    The Elect?

This sounds like a sunday school class given by someone who has had one too many. The location that is Christ has no sin. In HIM is no sin. Those who abide in Him do not, and cannot sin. Anything else is a lie and damnable by God as a denial of grace.

    The Elect?

Yes. Paul discovered a law within himself that held him captive...in bondage. The gospel is about liberty from bondage. The law of sin and death. He was still held captive under that law....as most believers are today (but ignorantly claiming to be in a 'saved" sinful state.)

    Apostolicity

The apostle Peter...not Bishop Peter. Of course Peter visited and preached there...but so did Paul. Peter may indeed have died there....as did Paul. Both were apostles and traveled....not Bishops.

    Israel is the Church

I am not against a country for the Jews...just don't call it Israel. It is Judea.
  13. Episkopos

    Apostolicity

The successors to the apostles are the bishops. We have Clement, Ignatius and Polycarp that were themselves disciples of the apostles and made overseers by the Spirit. Peter was never the bishop of a city...but an itinerant apostle. Neither was Paul a bishop. A very cursory glance at the bible...

    The Elect?

Without God no one can breathe either. So?

    The Elect?

Sounds like a human formula based on a dogma. God is not limited to your human ideas of how things work. When Abraham believed God....was it because he was already saved? You will be dogmatic and say yes...and fully miss the mystery of God's relationship with mankind.

    The Elect?

We are free to do as we wish. We need to come to a place of surrender to say...NOT my will but your will be done. Even Jesus learned that. Is that works salvation? Only to the dogmatic and misinformed.

    The Elect?

We are learning from God...being fashioned into His image...which requires migration, transition, transformation. You see a saved status...which is presently passed off as modern doctrine. But it is false. We don't need assurance. We need the living God. And Paul says LET those who name the...

    If's...

It depends how we view salvation. If we see a saved status that we can own...so it is "mine"...then we are seeing God as a possession of ours. We can be the Lord's and still be under the law. We are learning. The law becomes our tutor...to bring us to Christ in every way. Not only to bring into...

    If's...

Salvation is conditional...and remains conditional until we finish our race here on this physical plane. But that doesn't sell well so people just drop the "if's" so as to make certainty appear as coming from the bible. ...the holey bible. (full of holes)

Heaven - where is it ?

In us and around us...but only perceived by spiritual faculties. There is much more to this reality than what meets the human senses.
