    Why water into wine?

Exactly. That is what I have been saying. The leaders of the local churches are the ones addressed to by Jesus Christ. Then the overcoming individual is addressed to by Christ. No need for Christ to go through a pope, or papacy, or the Roman church. I sense a breakthrough. Stranger

If all of the Church is the Bride of Christ who are the guests?

(continued from post #42) In the parable, after the second rejection of the offer of the kingdom and the abuse shown the kings servants, the king was angry with those and their city and destroyed them and it. (Matt. 22:7-8) I believe this speaks to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by...

If all of the Church is the Bride of Christ who are the guests?

Well, my interpretation, which is not originally from me, but has been learned from others, will be more literal than most here. I know literal is not liked by many here, but it is the method I use. That said, it is a parable. Which means it is a representative story; but, a story...

    My God

You have said the Bible is a dead book without the Holy Spirit using it. (Post #27) I say it is the Word of God irregardless. Jesus Christ is the Word also, yet people reject Him. He doesn't cease to be the Word. Your remarks make no sense. They may appeal in a pseudo-spiritual way, but...

    My God

The new and old convert needs to know the Bible is the Word of God. I do not understand what you are saying. Many people open and read the Bible and are not converted. So? How does Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit convert anyone? Stranger

    Why water into wine?

Did I say 'bishops'? Or better yet, did Jesus Christ say 'bishops'? (Rev. 2:1-3:14) Nothing here to say a 'bishop' was in charge. And nothing here to say Peter was in charge. And nothing here to say Rome was in charge. Well, if Peter was head of the Church, and if Rome was over the...

If all of the Church is the Bride of Christ who are the guests?

So, when you got married you sent your 'bride to be' an invitation to the wedding? I bet that went over well. Stanger

If all of the Church is the Bride of Christ who are the guests?

In case you are on ignore I will venture this statement. The guests are still the guests. Not the bride. And (Rom. 9) is not dealing with guests, but the bride. Stranger

    My God

When people reject the Bible as the Word of God, it remains the Word of God also. Without the Holy Spirit one will never know Jesus either. Jesus Christ is the physical manifestation of the Word of God, and the Bible is the written Word of God. Stranger

    Why water into wine?

No, Rome wants him to be the earthly head of the Church. As I said, if the bishop in Corinth did this, then he was mistaken. Remember, the leaders of the churches can be mistaken as is seen in the 7 churches of Revelation. Stranger

You may as well say Jesus is not the Word because people reject Him. Stranger

If all of the Church is the Bride of Christ who are the guests?

That is a great question. Just as with the 10 virgins. Make sure you get a satisfactory answer. Stranger

Yes, I know. But I knew mjrhealth does not believe the Bible to be the Word of God, and so wanted to make that point that it wasn't just the writer. Stranger

    Why water into wine?

John was no pope either. The chain of command I gave you included John due to the Revelation given him to the 7 churches. It doesn't mean he was in that chain of command with all churches. But this was how this Revelation came. If the church at Corinth went to Clement of Rome, that is their...

Once Saved Always Saved (Eternal Security)

Thats fine. Well, the writers of both Old and New Testament were writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As far as each writer was concerned, he was writing his book or letter. But the Holy Spirit in him was adding and contributing to the whole book of the Bible. So each writer...
