....many will say to me 'Lord, Lord'...

People seem satisfied with knowledge ABOUT God. But is that the knowledge that is lacking among God's people? Never have there been more bibles in the world than now. Yet, never has there been so much darkness in the world. There is a famine in the earth...of knowing God and hearing His words...

    Metanoia

Phil. 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. That I may apprehend....meaning we are not instantly transformed into the image of Christ. We still need to run the...

    Metanoia

Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. Is repentance a small temporary window into the pride of men whereby one allows, for...

    Metanoia

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. Early Christianity was termed "the Way"...the way to eternal life. The way to God, who grants us this life. There were 10 lepers that...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

If you live according to the flesh...in your own power of seeing things...in your own strength and opinions...then you will die. A person who lives in themselves is not with the Lord.

Having No Mercy For Others, Only For Ourselves

There is a terrible tendency to judge others outside the faith. Rather than Christians learning to love and leave judgment to God...there is an evangelical mindset to condemn others as depraved sinners who are all going to hell because of a lack of conformity to the religion that they espouse...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

A better way to describe OSAS and it's adherents is...Once a sinner always a sinner. These hold to a religious definition of salvation which is devoid of life and power. God's ways are equal...if a person can repent towards Christ they can also repent the other way. No one is forced to follow...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

A free sample is not the same as buying the product. You are only looking for the easy free stuff. An opportunist. God does not favour that kind of person. The kingdom of God costs everything we have and are. So then you are looking for a salvation without God. You see knowing God as a work...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

You are not saying anything about following Christ. You would see following Christ as a work...which it is. It is a work that gives salvation... real salvation. Not the false assurance you are speaking of for remaining in the power of your flesh.

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Amen. Only the flesh looks for an imaginary line in the sand that once they cross over once that part of life is done with. The walk with God is an ongoing deepening of relationship. Who gets married and thinks...there that's all I ever have to do with my wife (or husband)...just cross that off...

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Jesus' part is finished. The people who do not follow Christ stay where they are and claim that Jesus walked in the Spirit for them. They stay static and use false teachings to support their lack of walk.

OSAS is the result of the finished work of the cross

Jesus did His part...and when we are put to death as He was then we too can see...it is finished. I think it is the very depth of error to make silly religious dogmas that destroy the truth that we must follow after Christ and be conformed to Him through much tribulation. Acts 14:22...

    Metanoia

It involves a way of thinking...a change, even a drastic way of thinking different. I think that once a person has become religious and rigid in thinking...the metanoia process stops and the person gets stuck. The purpose of this thread is to cause people (including myself) to reconsider the...

    Metanoia

These are very good observations. I think it is vital that we never count ourselves prematurely as having arrived at the fulness of Christ according to our character. We can know the full power of Christ and the whole truth...but for these to become our own in wisdom, knowledge and understanding...

My Holy Spirit Councelled Me - People are being Poisoned by Pesticides on Crops

IOW...who can discern what sound doctrine is anymore.

    Paul And The Law

Bbyrd is saying that you are speaking from a shallow veneer of religiosity and avoiding the real issues. And since this is in fact the case, he is going way over your head, so to speak. Does that sound about right Bbyrd?

    Paul And The Law

The law that Paul is talking about is not the law of God...but the holiness laws of Moses...or... JUDAISM. Does love not fulfill the law of God? Love does not transgress the law. But we can love without Judaism.

    Metanoia

Metanoia is a journey of changing one's mind, heart, self, or way of life. In the bible it is translated as "repentance." Metanoia means "after-thought." But it is more than a one-time event or action. Repentance is a process of going from being carnal to being spiritual in Christ. We are to...

    The Great Apostasy

Without a doubt! The modern churches have lowered holiness into a sinful holiness....and have claimed righteousness for themselves by denying it to all others who don't believe in their doctrinal interpretations. But in so doing they have not only subverted holiness...but righteousness as...
