That is my by far, favorite of C.S.'s books. I read it in the 90's and have read it several times over. How accurately he shows the wiles of Satan and his messing with our thoughts. Really opens your eyes to the works of evil in the lives of Christians.

I think you misunderstood me. I am NOT a proponent of Once Saved Always Saved. Yu are making it sound like I do when I do not. It makes some Christians think they are okay despite still sinning and, are putting their faith in a doctrine rather than God's word.

That is how I read that verse, among others. Salvation-wise, it technically has no bearing but, to those young in the faith, and depending on only those who promote it then...I can see some lax faith being built... This is only my own take after reading all of the different scriptures and views...

My view of the world is this: It waxes worse and worse every second IMHO. The things happening in this world by ungodly people now are beyond the pale! Everything goes and nobody keeps God in their hearts and minds but, take pleasure in idols and their own thoughts, as far off the narrow path...
