    Born again = Righteous

Those who are born again are accounted as righteous in the eyes of God. Works righteousness (self righteousness) along with moral self-reformation is not a substitute for regeneration and the righteousness of God which is by faith. (John 3:3; Romans 4:5-6; Philippians 3:9)

Socalism & Christianity, a perfect match or a complete clash of ideologies?

In socialism the elites get the gold mine and the hard-working people get the shaft.

Born Again = Not a Sinner

In regards to Luke 8:13 (believe for a while) even though this shallow ground hearer is said to have "believed," yet he is never said to have been "saved." How do we know that the shallow ground hearer was never actually "saved"? I will explain the reasons. First, his heart condition is...

Born Again = Not a Sinner

Jude is not describing men who were born again/saved and lost their salvation. A tree being dead to the core as such a tree was utterly incapable of producing good fruit then being uprooted is twice dead. The NASB reads "doubly dead." Notice in Jude 12 that these trees will be "uprooted."...

    Instruction in righteousness

Wow! That is quite a long time. I joined my first Christian forum (Bible Forums) back around 2010-2011.

    Instruction in righteousness

This proverb is so true. Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.

    Instruction in righteousness

I've been a member of multiple Christian forum sites for over 10 years now and it's not uncommon to walk into a hornets nest in certain threads, especially when you are dealing with "self promoters" who view themselves as "holier than thou" and look down on others. Whenever I do enter a hornets...

    Darkness and light (poll)

You teach performance based works salvation and sinless perfection which is the opposite of what scripture teaches. (Romans 4:5-6; 1 John 1:8-10) ..if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (vs. 8). For he who...

    Darkness and light (poll)

The correct answer for these many people in Matthew 7:22-23 would have been 'Lord, Lord, didn't YOU and not 'Lord, Lord, didn't we.' These people had the wrong foundation and were trusting in works for salvation and not in Christ alone. Nothing is mentioned in 2 Peter 1:5-7 about adding works...

    Darkness and light (poll)

You seem to be over thinking this and those in the situation who say Lord, Lord.. yet we're rejected in Matthew 7:22-23 were not genuine believers. Jesus never knew them which means they were never saved. In regards to 2 Peter 1:5-7, by cultivating these qualities listed, believers can be sure...

Amen! Unlike the english word "hope," the N.T. word contains no uncertainty; it speaks of something that is certain. - Strong's #1680 elpís (from elpō, "to anticipate, welcome") – properly, expectation of what is sure (certain); hope. If we have saving faith in Christ then we have this hope...

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (a parable)

The wording of the five foolish virgins in our text is all too familiar to the reader of Matthew’s Gospel: Matthew 25:11 - "Later, the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’ 12 But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you!" Matthew 7:21 - "Not everyone who says to...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

The Bible teaches salvation by faith, not works (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9) and obedience which "follows" saving faith in Christ "is" works. Yet you teach salvation by faith AND works in contradiction to scripture. (Romans 3:24-28; 4:2-6; 5:1; 11:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9...

    The Sinners Prayer?

There are genuine Christians and there are nominal/pseudo Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers and its not hard to find them mixed together in various churches and on various Christian forum sites.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Since you teach salvation by faith AND works, you confuse God's will for us to become saved with God's will for us after we have been saved. Your faulty argument and false gospel (which is the result of bad semantics and flawed hermeneutics) has already been refuted and is dead in the water.

    The Sinners Prayer?

In regards to the sinner's prayer, saying a sinner's prayer will not accomplish anything on its own. I must have prayed the sinner's prayer 20 different times with Pat Robertson while watching the 700 Club when I was a teenager, yet nothing happened. Why? Because there was no repentance and...
