    It's all about Matthew 7:23

In Matthew 7:23, we see that Jesus NEVER knew these many people which means they were NEVER saved. They failed to do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21) John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them...

    Not sure of your salvation?

From that website: :) Share the Gospel 7 Points for Making the Gospel Clear 1. We are all sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 2. The penalty for our sin is death, eternal separation from God forever in Hell. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is...

    Are you going to Heaven?

Are you trusting in Jesus Christ as the all sufficient means of your salvation? Or are you trusting in your own personal goodness as the means of your salvation?

    The Great Commandment

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) which destroys your your point. You have not flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments so come down off your high horse. ONLY Jesus Christ has flawlessly obeyed the 10 commandments. When one trusts in imperfect obedience/law keeping...

    Are you going to Heaven?

    The Great Commandment

Ezekiel 18:29 - But the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not right.' Are My ways not right, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are not right? If OSAS is false, then what?

ALL false religions and cults that promote salvation by works strongly oppose OSAS, which has always been a major red flag for me.

If OSAS is false, then what?

We are to “work out” our salvation (that we already have in Christ) and not work for our salvation. This is in regards to our ongoing sanctification. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

    Assurance of salvation.

Initiated by faith, then maintained by works? Sounds like "type 2 works salvation."
  10. mailmandan

If OSAS is false, then what?

Salvation is not probation. Eternal life is not temporary life. Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door. Fear and bondage to IN-security is no way to live the Christian life.

    Only Believers are Resurrected?

They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil; unto the resurrection of damnation is clear. Also, in Acts 24:15, we read that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. We know from scripture that the just will receive...

    Is baptismal regeneration biblical

I enjoy Christian Chat, but of course, none of these Christian forum sites are perfect. I’m acquainted with the Reformers, but don’t particularly have a favorite.

    Is baptismal regeneration biblical

Yes, I am a member of Christian Chat. I don’t have a particular source for all of my blessings. It’s a combination of information I either read or heard and agree with, some paraphrases along with my method of harmonizing scripture with scripture in order to reach my conclusion on doctrine.

    Is baptismal regeneration biblical

Baptism is a symbol of salvation in that it pictures Christ's death, burial and resurrection and our identification with Him in these experiences. In reality, believers are literally saved by what baptism symbolizes--Christ's death, burial and resurrection. Salvation is signified, but not...

    Is baptismal regeneration biblical

In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is...

The Unsaved Man Does Not Need To “Stop Sinning”

I've seen people who teach sinless perfection abuse and misuse the words of Jesus "go and sin no more" in John 8:11. Jesus was telling the woman to go and leave her life of sin, namely, she had been practicing adultery. Also, Jesus cannot compromise his perfect holy standard, so of course He is...
