"gadar perets, post: 437667, member: 7741"]Who decides which are holiness laws and which are righteousness laws since Scripture does not make such designations? Of course it does. There are 2....count them 2...tablets. Also they break down into 2 main laws....loving God....and others. Do we...

Again you are mixing holiness laws and righteousness laws. Mixture is confusion. Look at the "rich young ruler" story. Look at the commandments Jesus said led to salvation. The 6 righteousness laws...or...love your neighbour. When he asked Jesus what else he lacked (holiness) Jesus did not...

    Are We Required to Tithe?

Remember the widow. She was very poor and gave all she had....and this impressed Jesus.

The Holy Spirit can't just be recruited one day a week to keep a certain day holy. The Holy Spirit is full time holiness. People who keep the day do so from their own willpower...

    Are We Required to Tithe?

I tithe...and always have since becoming a believer. I think 10% is a guideline...a minimum. We have always been very well cared for by the Lord.

Does the Bible Version or Translation Really Matter?

All the translations have pluses and minuses. I, too find the KJV easier to remember.

Back When Protestants Men Weren't The Gutless Wonders Of Today

After a certain number....30 or 40...there are just too many people to participate in the meeting....considering everyone is to have the same freedom of expression. The meetings can be moderated but only to let the Spirit guide and speak through the people He wants to speak through. And...

Does the Bible Version or Translation Really Matter?

Who here is willing to admit they are NIV positive!

Ummm...not so much. We have real people in our love gatherings...no need to spiritualize.

Obedience to the Spirit means we have the law inwardly. Being under grace means we have no need of an external law to limit/control our actions. In fact God wants to liberate us to do as we will....but by the Spirit. This is the very opposite to before when we were controlled by our passions...

...Amen....and that's where free will comes in. But the law is only for sinners. Freedom reveals the life of God and gives it room to manifest itself in the world. So then grace and law don't mix. Otherwise grace is frustrated.

The 10 commandments contain both holiness laws and righteousness laws. That's why they are written on 2 separate tablets.

...but it can't be as stated in the bible??...eternal darkness?

Amen! We can only love as Jesus loved by walking in the same Power that loved us. We can however at least love others as ourselves. That can be done through learning righteousness.

The concept of "already but not yet", i.e., "I am" but not yet. Yeah right!

Luther started the ball rolling...saying that when God sees us He is looking at a dung heap with an ever fresh carpet of white snow over it so as to hide it's true nature. So we only APPEAR to be holy to God. We are hiding behind Jesus. When you start at a dubious position like that...we end up...

...and walk in it...we are to be doers of the word...not just hearers.

The concept of "already but not yet", i.e., "I am" but not yet. Yeah right!

Positional theology? As in...when I struck you that wasn't my real hand...since my real hand is already in heaven. Or else...God can't really see me and what I do. I'm hiding behind Jesus. or...I'm really not responsible for this sin my body just did...it's a good thing I'm covered because...

Do you mean holiness laws like sacrificing turtle doves? Or righteousness laws like treating others with love?
