Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

It is the topic of the thread. No. Well don't judge. And I agree with that saying. Yeap I am still asking it. And it is a valid question. Now for some humor I will bring up a comedian. I don't know if you remember Sam Kinison about world hunger I cannot copy it in here because he does some...

Too stacked...one or two at a time.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Are you talking about not paying attention to the commandments of men? This conversation runs from Titus 1:10-16 mostly and Titus 1:16 is very relevant to this topic. Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. True we do not know the issues...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

This is another debate; Christ was talking to the Jews about the Mosaic Law and if you reread these verses closely you will see that is a summery of the Mosaic Law.

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

LOL He has to take both. And we have to deal with both. That part is easy....most of the time....that between them and Christ....unless one of these sin and sin some more fellows that think they are going to heaven....rape a loved one....then things go south. Hey I like this....ok we are...

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

Who here is talking about losing their salvation...saved is saved and Christian are always Christians. So no one loses their salvation. But on Judgment Day Christians can be judged to hell. Heaven will not be full of evil.

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

I am going to respond, but I am not sure what you are getting at. Let me make my own question and if that is not it you can clarify. Grailhunter, what do you have against OSAS? Some people come to Christianity with broken lives and sinful lifestyles and they really do not know that much about...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Are you talking about not paying attention to the commandments of men? True we do not know the issues that Paul was dealing with. And we are not Paul....and regardless the New Testament doesn't give any examples of Christ or the Apostles living lives of sin. Now Matthew, a tax collector and...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

@Wynona @farouk @FHII What sins do you think are the hardest to avoid? Now the reason I ask this is that I know people may have issues with obedience in some areas. The Christian walk. But I don't want to see people struggling with man-made sins...when the focus should be on biblical sins...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Again the question is; why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

The Bible specifically tells us that our obedience...our good character does not justify pride. But is it possible that Christ is proud of us, if we obey and have good character. What does that do to our walk with Christ. Our relationship with God. What is the alternative, sin and sin some...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

I did enjoy your comment and do not stop. Now go look up the differing beliefs as to what Grace is and what it does. It is a very interesting topic, but too involved for this thread. Human standards? What else is there, here on earth. I know, that you know, that Bible is not about practicing...

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

Barney I tell you what... I am truly multi-denominational...and truly tolerant of differing beliefs. I was raised Catholic and Southern Baptist....WOW...mom Catholic...dad Southern Baptist. I will admit a special connection to the Holy Ghost churches, but I spend time in non-denominational...

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

You have heard me say it....You post scriptures to the OSAS crowd, it is like showing them a cross and they hiss and recoil like vampires. Exorcisms and invoking the Word of God. You are just mean when you quote scriptures! So hurtful! And again I am going to say that there is no such thing as...

Here is what it all comes down to—- and you’d better get it right!

Like I said duly noted. When you are debating that is the sort of thing that happens. I am not collecting a prize. People have their opinions on things....this is an international forum and the only way you can guarantee not to offend someone, is not to make any comment. So you cannot take such...

Why do you feel it is so hard to be good?

When you are making an effort to reduce sin in your life it is important to know what Christ thinks is a sin because He will be the one judging you. This should be easy for Fundamentalists....Bible only or mostly. Don't pay attention to the morality's of man and that goes with the man-made...

Pretty simple stuff. What part do you not understand. I am not directing it at you if that is the confusion.

Lose your salvation? Mostly no. The day you are saved you are a Christian. And no matter what...On Judgment Day you are a Christian, regardless if Christ judges you to heaven or hell.
