Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

I would remove the when.. If we only literally interpret when we can prove it was fulfilled.. Then prophecy in my view has no purpose.. anyone can make prophecy say whatever they want it to say But there is actually a way to prove or know when the event took or takes place. when it happens...

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

Sin, in its most basic term, means what the greek word means. to fall short. to miss the mark. Anything we do that is not out of love, or when we put our needs above another's. or where we know to do right but do not do it. this is sin, because it falls short of Gods standard.. which is perfection.

    OSAS being False Doctrine!

lol.. You prove my point Of course we will sin. But we will nto live in sin anymore. Because he who began a good work WILL COMPLETE IT. We have to grow. We are not born again as super creatures who will never sin again, But we will nto live as we did before. because we have God in us. False...

Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

I am convinced he stopped because the rest of the passage spoke of something he would not do "today" it would come at a future time..

Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

this is why I use this passage. i think it really brings the point home that I am about to make. when one interprets prophecy. we see 2 General interpretive methods. Literal - Interpret it as said, when you see the actual event happens. you can know (prove) itr was fulfilled spiritual - The...

Could Christianity have been invented like this?

Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

Lets see if this may help. Jesus read this from Isaiah. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are...

Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

if the sin issue is not resolved. what good is it to rule with Christ for 20 - 40 years of your life. then spend eternity in hell because jesus did not suffer the cross? I am not sure what you mean by "is it future"

Was Jesus sent to rule as the Messiah or was he sent to die for the sins of humanity?

Being filled vs being baptized with the Spirit

When you believe and God grants that faith to salvation God the Holy Spirit baptizes you into Christ, and his death, you are then anointed with the HS. as the holy spirit takes up residence in you Both occur at the time of salvation

    Works for Salvation: Humility

No He said we must become like the child.. That is not a work. it is the work of God in our lives.. As he said in John 6. it is the work of God we believe I suggest you not take credit away from God

    Works for Salvation: Humility

Read the passage again. it says one must be converted. We cannot convert ourself.. Jesus is speaking a truth. Unless we become humble like the child. we will never recieve christ in Gods terms.. Jesus said the same thing in his sermon. Unless we become poor in spirit (bankrupt) we will nto see...
