Love is vulnerable. If it is not, it is not love... it is something which masquerades as love. God’s love allows us to be responsible even if it tears his heart out.

If men refuse the life given them it will not be forced on them....so it’s not about God not being powerful enough, it’s about God respecting their choice.

Yes, it is a broad explanation yet it sits at the heart of what the book of Revelation is focused on. Unless this is fundamentally understood any attempt to come up with an accurate interpretation of its symbols becomes guesswork and forced shoehorning.

God’s character, that’s what is being battled against. Misrepresentation by and in circles that claim him as their God ....that battle is transferred to and against his people.

I’ve used it as a ‘symbol’ for the issues. Do you understand what the issue that is being battled against is on planet earth?

There is another critical factor; interpreting symbolism accurately. To be out on this throws a spanner in the works..... however, as I said previously, understanding the issues ie, what the whole enchilada is on about is paramount.

First one needs to work out what the issues are and how they manifest. Then key players can be identified. The image represents self glorification and self focus under the garb of sanctity. Could one also call it a false Prophet?.....that in itself gives a poignant clue.

I think image worship is well underway.
