If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Logical people would question evolution, let alone phases of something that does not exist.

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

Yes, only to Peter, who has long since died. That while Peter could perform miracles his "successor's" could not.

    Is Reincarnation baloney?

Yes, the book of Moses was put in written form, meaning written 5 centuries after Moses died. This means Moses did not make a copy, right? I say put in written form - as opposed to written - because to say something was written at a given time could be taked to mean the story originated at that...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

You seem to be missing the point; Some truths are not Christ-centered as I already showed. Referring to John 21:25 DOES NOT say we are under some obligation to know things about Christ not written, only that such things exist. See the difference? False Alternative. See bold part above. Your...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

It’s not rational by no one ever said ego based action was rational.

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

Another denier. Educate yourself on the evil of cultural Marxism. I already provided numerous links and vids. Would it help if I posted them again?

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

My God man! You are completely missing it. I put before you irrefutable proof of the existence of God AND incontrovertible proof that we were made by God. And your response? Completely and utterly ignoring it. The idea that clothes are "needed" for climate is completely besides the point. Try...

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Wow! Your notion of experience is not bound. "Color" is a perception. Math is a concept. Not the same is it? Your reply implies the notion of subjective meaning of words. There is conception and perception. Experience is perception, what you perceive through your senses. Conception is the...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

I deny anyone now has the authority of Christ here on earth.

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

Some things are true that are not Christ's truth. For instance, Florida is south of Maine. It's not in the Bible, yet it is true.

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

I wise pastor said not to call things heresy that are not a salvation issue. Baptism timing is a great example of that. A little tolerance would go a long way and NOT pretend every doctrinal matter is a prompting by the Holy Spirit. Some churches are wood. Some are brick. We don't have to have a...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

I've written many times that only Christianity has such flowering of denominations as the Holy Spirit is all things to all people so that some may be reached. There is nothing wrong with the Spirit telling you to go west and me south, etc. Regarding different and contradictory conclusions, it's...

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

While I agree on the difficulty of translation, I'm not buying the analysis. The Bible is renound for the quintessential standard of explicitness. God literally wrote the 10C into rock. I reject the idea that such a God also puts secrets in subtle ways. So, I don't read into the verse the...

    Cults And Their Faults

I've read your confession of faith many times. The anti-cultists ignore it. I'm with you, sister!

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

I know. It's an absurd claim on many levels, not the least of which is Scripture as I already stated. Putting aside the distraction of the sex life of a 1st century, Jewish teenager, there is nothing in Scripture stating that Mary was sinless.

    Cults And Their Faults

Agreed. And the truth is LDS consider themselves to be Christians who accept Christ as their lord and savior. That’s good enough for me. Why is it not good enough for you?

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

Not necessarily? There is nothing wrong with a wife having sex with her husband. ‘I did not look at the text until my car came to a complete and total stop.’ You want to take that to mean I never looked at the text?! Good grief.

    Cults And Their Faults

Oy vey. Do you suppose LDS boast about earning their way into heaven AND that means they are not even Christians?

Does John 5:24-29 contradict the belief that one must believe in Jesus to avoid eternal death?

I hear you but my point is the claim that Mary belongs on this august list is not Biblical. And I deny she remained a virgin based on the Bible's wording "until" and reference to Jesus brothers and sisters.
