Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Great verses there! good to stick to the simple statements of Scripture, right?

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25: Jews were also very much into angels; Hebrews has some strong things to say about the superiority of the Lord Jesus to angels - chapter 1.

Normative Christian Experience: the Missing Basic

I don't see the Lord's Supper in John 6. (In Matthew 26, Mark 14 and Luke 22, yes; but not in John 6 or anywhere in John's Gospel, actually.)

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Oh I wasn't suggesting that; I was referring to someone I heard, years ago; I guess I was going off at a tangent (as I am prone to do...)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 I'm sure you want to surround her with invisible intercessory fire, so to speak. (Hebrews 7.25 also comes to mind.) Yes, well nostril and septum are both sought after placements. Sometimes eventually combined with ink someplace, though not necessarily.

    Slaying the two witnesses

@Naomi25 It may be said that Reformed theology has a combination of the order of logic and the fire of Scripture. True to an extent; in the end, I'm not really Reformed, but appreciate Biblically based Reformed theology.

@runningwings Another good one. Also, I like Amos 3.3: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

    Encouraging verses

@runningwings There's so much in Isaiah; from another time and in another place; but there is so much that is Messianic; and so much applies.
