Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 Sounds almost conspiratorial! :) (though if the truth is known your sister probably feels that you originally - at least tacitly - encouraged her to have it done...)

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Interesting that the word 'unfolding' is used sometimes as a heading to the passage about the Incarnation in John chapter 1.... Kind of gives an idea of the great privilege of receiving revealed truth...

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Re. the word 'apocalyptic'; interesting that Revelation is sometimes called the Apocalypse...

    Joel's End Time Prophesies

@Naomi25 I do find that some Reformed commentators do lean towards figurative interpretations a lot, generally speaking. (As for me, well, I'm dispensationalist...)

Up here we have had it hot; out West there has even been a huge heart wave.... I guess that WA and QLD get it really hot sometimes...

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Reminds me of the words of Ann Steele in the 18th century: "O may these hallowed pages be My ever dear delight! And still new beauties may I see, And still increasing light!" :)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 Seems like your sister obviously wanted you to know, anyway, right?... in fact, when you eventually see her you might find she is overjoyed with having gotten something faith based. Back, Acolyte said: (But anyway I reckon you may in due course long for the day when your daughter also...

Why I believe in the rapture.

PS: @Naomi25 : 'you' (plural) there in John 16.13....

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Yes, well, the Lord Jesus' promise of John 16.13 is collective, not through just one person, which is indeed wise: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and...

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 Oh so your sister finally did it; plucked up the determination to go through with it. But you're right: it's really a rather benign enhancement compared with a lot of other possibilities, and of course for a Christian woman it can prove compelling to be needled in with something faith...

    Romans Road

@soul man I've heard the expression, the Romans road... Sometimes it's used with regard to particular Gospel verse quotations from Romans, I think...

    Great Psalm, @firstthings1st. ! :)

Why I believe in the rapture.

@Naomi25 Well, I guess it all starts with different presuppositions, whether about the nature of the church and Israel, and so forth.

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Naomi25 I'm sure indeed it's exactly how you have been praying for many years, about her coming into a saving knowledge of the Lord. Re. ink: well, it's what they nearly all seem to feel the need to receive; as GodsGrace said, back a bit: (like also you said her aunt wanted to, right?)
