Need some help changing my perspective on men.

@FluffyYellowDuck I don't think anyone reading your posts on this forum would come to that conclusion, in any case...

    Vaccinations

@FluffyYellowDuck I guess it could also be said that human remains being used for medical research goes back a long way, and if one were to exclude every medical development remotely involved with this would be unrealistic and even impossible.

    Age for first ear piercings?

@FluffyYellowDuck These days, if our very small conservative local church is anything to go by, a lot of boys also have it done; seems like it probably has something to do with their moms liking them to have it, or something. (Perhaps it's different in your area?)

Who is God, What is God, Why is God?

@Faithsong We concentrate on what God has revealed in His Word. Romans 5.12: "by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned". This is why God graciously sent the Saviour to die in the place of sinners who would trust in Him.

    The Holy Spirit is HE

@Faithsong He is God Himself. Genesis 1.1-2: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." The end of Mathhew 28 speaks of God in Three...

Who is God, What is God, Why is God?

@Faithsong "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1.3)

    The Holy Spirit is HE

The Holy Spirit is mentioned in John 4 (re. worship in Spirit and in truth) and Romans 8 (re. His indwelling and His role in prayer, for those who love and trust God's Son, the Lord Jesus).

    A Very Important Warning

I guess also I would ask, At what point should everyone everywhere stop taking meds in case one of them has side effects that might harm someone somewhere? For example, I take 10 different meds, all of which - according to closely typed pieces of paper from pharmaceutical companies - may have...

Who is God, What is God, Why is God?

Hebrews 1.1-9 also: ........... God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of...

Who is God, What is God, Why is God?

@Faithsong John 1.18 has a good answer: ......................... In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life...

    Your favorite Psalm?

    @Faithsong FYI......

Need some help changing my perspective on men.

@FluffyYellowDuck Well, my wife says of the young men who drive their pick-up trucks aggressively on the freeway, that they are likely testosterone-charged... Women are of course hormonally-geared differently, but I don't claim to be an expert.

    Your favorite Psalm?

@Pearl An articulate, wise woman in the 18th century wrote these words: "O may these hallowed pages be My ever dear delight! And still new beauties may I see, And still increasing light!" (Anne Steele)

Poll: Tattoo art - Christian perspectives: Fight it? Ignore it? appreciate/embrace it?

@Pearl Fine! PS: I think as regards Northumbrian and Scottish traditions, some of them are quite similar, including pipes, etc. The Lowlands of Scotland seem in some ways to have similarities to Lindisfarne, Berwick, etc.

    Your favorite Psalm?

@Pearl Great text and picture...reminds me also of the 'still waters' of Psalm 23.
