1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

Not another thread derailed by you OSAS dogma. This thread is NOT about eternal salvation. The question is, once saved are you capable of sinning? Or are you merely unable to practice sinning. I am interested in your take and am grateful to @1stCenturyLady for starting this.

    A Form of godliness

Given that Scripture says he was firstborn, it is consistent with Scripture; a reasonable interpretation. What makes it silly? o_O

    A Form of godliness

Only does not mean "including another, such as myself." It truly is amazing the inventions of language trinitarians will come up with to rationalize their idol. Your so contrary as to suppose God has a God.

    A Form of godliness

No difference at all, just semantics. Jesus is a man, who has the same image as all men, all who are image bearers of God. Beyond the image, Jesus lived up the life his God had willed for him. That's the difference.

    A Form of godliness

You are confusing means and end just to be argumentative. People talk about the finished work that Christ did on the cross. That is what I am talking about. The consequence of this sacrifice, of this work is the redemption of man.

Absurd - even by trinitarian standards. Me, Myself and I - a council does not make up.

    A Form of godliness

You did by the most insidious of means; to claim that he did not even have a choice in performing his greatest act.

    A Form of godliness

Where is this in Scripture? So much orthodoxy is totally divorced from the actual words and meaning of Scripture.

    A Form of godliness

That you insist a verse that does not even have Jesus in it be interpretted to mean he is God shows the lack of actual explicit teaching of your doctrine in Scripture. I say John 1:1-5 refers to the literal word of God, not to another person.

21st Century Christianity - A brief manifesto for our age.

Yes but still few decisions are made by the majority of people in the land. I just answered that. See below.

Friend, I just answered that question. Communisim is outward looking, about coveting what others have. Capitalism is inward looking, how to better your situation (independent of anyone else).

Well, the only thing I would add are those explicit verses that say Jesus is a man.

    Unitarianism vs Trinitarianism

Brilliant! It is so apparent when one studies it. The fact that the trinity is not in the Bible - not the world, not the concept - is the dead give away. It really is amazing that anyone who actually reads the Bible walks away believing trinitarianism. It shows the power of indoctrination. I...

You are so lost. Democracy is evil. Hitler was voted into power. Does that mean that everything he did after was good. America is not, nor has ever been a democracy. America is and always has been a Constitutionally limitied republic based on limited governemnt and individual rights. Untrue.

21st Century Christianity - A brief manifesto for our age.

You are not answering my question. Presumably because you do not intend to take up my challenge. I am and answered it in Post # 159. The term is already defined. Feel free to look it up. I'll start another thread to answer this question. No. Capitalism appeals to human ambition...

How do you do bible study?

My God man! The only begotten son of God in v18 is not the God - in his unitarian nature - referenced in v16 & 17. You just don't want to acknowledge when the Bible uses the word God it is not referring to a trinity but the Creator in his unitarian nature. It is God in his unitarian nature who...

Voluntary being the key word, which makes it necessarily makes it NGO - non-government entity. Government is the EXACT opposite of voluntary. Friend, you are so lost. The richest countries in the world have the healthiest environments.

21st Century Christianity - A brief manifesto for our age.

It's not a problem as the poor do not need to be rescued by their fellow man. Not even a little bit. The role of government is to help us protect our rights, not distribute our wealth against our will.

    Unitarianism vs Trinitarianism

Akin to a god that isn't the true God.
