'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

I really don't get what you're trying to say here Timtofly. It appears you are confused as to what I have said. Read the posts again and see if things are clearer.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

ahhhh, yesss....the bad apple, I mean the bad egg.......yeah, those bad eggs....from what I've read re this history they musta been quiet a few of them cuz they rolled all around Europe. The Dutch, the Scottish, punished mercilessly because they held their hope in Jesus.

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

It is not incorrect neither does it blow anything anywhere Enoch, in fact what it does is show the weakness of the position you hold by interpreting what is allegorical into the literal.

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Timtofly....the soul is not a seperate conscious entity in itself....it is a way of expressing what we are ie, we are a soul or a being, we don't have them, we are human beings or living souls. Re the spirit....This word can be applied differently depending on context, for instance; the bottle...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

ahhhh yes, the bad apples huh! ....blame the bad apples! religiously, politically....yeah, they all do it.....in fact they do it so often they put their credibility at stake.....its the standard line of any bad apple!

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Yes, Jesus will bring back to life those that sleep in him.....this view is consistent with all other scriptures regarding this matter. To see it as Jesus bringing folk with him from heaven to resurrect them from the dead (sleep) firstly, is not consistent with the rest of scripture and...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

We are changed, both the living believers and the believers who have died through the ages, in a moment in the twinkling of and eye just as Paul describes in 1Corinthians 15.....he has a lot of detail in this chapter. You can also check 1Thessalonians 4. The bodies of the raised dead as well...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Let's start with Adam's creation....he was formed from the dust of the ground and God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, in other words, Gods spirit animated the dust and Adam became a living soul. Let's have a closer look....the dust became animated or alive once God's spirit was...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

no doubt that is your belief CL but you won't find support in scripture for that view

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Let me qualify it...'natural immortality'. Does that alter the equation?

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

How did you arrive at that question CL?

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

The theory of the immortality of the soul is a heathen lie....it has no place in the scriptures. The danger of this view is it opens avenues for deceptions.....deceptions that a believer would shrink in horror from if he/she was aware.

    How many ear piercings?

farouk...I need to speak up. These subjects you continually speak to; earrings and tattoos are an embarrassment to me. Why you might ask. Because they are so obviously carnal....to go into detailed explanations, to take a vote....to continually feed what I consider nauseatingly worldly...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Please consider this CL.....in death there is no consciousness of passing time, it is as if the dead are asleep, the term which scripture uses often, eg. From the moment Paul closed his eyes in death to the moment when he is called from the grave in the resurrection it will be for him as a...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Excuse me if I'm clipped in my approach here....I'll get straight to the point. Firstly.....the righteous dead are resurrected to immortality. The wicked dead are resurrected to receive their sentence of unworthiness ie death. The scripture speaks of this death as the second death.. .a death...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Separating body, spirit, soul has migrated from heathenism. For Christians to believe that it hasn't they must resort to all sorts of scriptural gymnastics and cobble a view together which the scriptures in its straight testimony does not support. The quoted text by charity is clear...it doesn't...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Acts 1:9-11 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand...
