Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

    You've missed my meaning totally.

    Day of the Lord

it seems you are unfamiliar with the surrounding history of 1844. It's well worth getting familiar with.

is there any mention of that in the scriptures?

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

Th This doesn't fit in with the Hebrew understanding of the temple being cleansed. The cleansing was done by the appointed high priest annually with the whole congregation of Israel involved to rid it of the sins that were symbolically brought in via the blood sacrifice through the year.

    Day of the Lord

Keraz....sufficient ego will dismiss your quote above as applying to self and apply it to all they don't agree with. Have you considered Jesus said this for all to self reflect on rather than using his words to elevate self.

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

this is funny Bobby Jo. I would not have thought you would admit to this. :)

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

Enoch, there is a valid reason, its the day for a year principle of prophecy used in scripture. Tell me why you dismiss this principle? What is it that you see as significant in the context of the angels explanation to Daniel by which you justify 6 odd years

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

I apologise for the above statement. I'm embarrassed, I made this in error.

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

So, what was the point of the 2300 prophecy as you see its interpretation of 6 1/3 years ? I ask because Daniel 8:26 tells us the vision of the evenings and mornings pertains to the distant future. Not the future which is discernible (70 weeks) of which a detailed breakdown was given.....its...

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

I don't think you understand why and how 1844 was arrived at. It would be well worth your effort to find out.

Why The Seventy Weeks Are 490 Days - To Be Interpreted As Years

you need to get familiar with when those accounts happened again CI. It is clear from your answers you are mixing up events and all for the sake of trying to establish that the day/year principal is not valid. I'm sorry, the error is yours.

    Day of the Lord

As the seventy week prophecy represents a day for a year so does the 2300 day prophecy. That is consistent and any attempt to twist the understanding of evening and morning to make them represents 1150 days/years is out out the question if you want to be consistent. The only starting point...

    Day of the Lord

LOL....I'm sorry, that position is not persuasive. It comes through as just another convenient sidestep or should I say, glaring misinterpretation, in order to shore up your theory.

    Day of the Lord

Here is your quote from the thread 2300 days of Daniel 8:14 post #4 (I have the bolded the section where you make the statement of 2300 evenings and mornings being 1150 days.) 'What is true, is that the 2300 evenings and mornings are actually 1150 days. There is one evening and one morning per...

    Day of the Lord

Its unfortunate that you don't care because it tells me you are set in your hermeneutic which I can't make any sense of. It is clear to me that the term evening and morning constitute a 24 hour period not a 12 hour period. This manoeuvre of yours is sleight of hand and paints your other...

    Day of the Lord

If there is something weird about what you call the SDA notion, perhaps you can point it out?

    Day of the Lord

The 2300 representing that amount of days is as obvious as a train smash. By halving it you have violated a primary interpretive principle. Your choice. If you do not see that, any amount of texts won't persuade you.

What to do when you are beyond repentance?

Self sabotage is a choice but it needn't be the choice. While there is life there is hope.

    Day of the Lord

misinterpretation of scripture does not qualify as anything even if a truck load was used.
