OSAS anyone? Opinions on Once Saved Always Saved

As regards the 'once saved...' aspect, first of all one needs to get away from a shallow understanding of what it is; it's not simply signing a "decision" card, or walking out to the front at a meeting, etc. There needs to be a work of God in the heart in the first place (John 3; Ephesians 2).

OSAS anyone? Opinions on Once Saved Always Saved

@ilovejcsog Paul indeed speaks in Romans of 'the obedience of faith' and 'obedience to the faith'.

OSAS anyone? Opinions on Once Saved Always Saved

Romans 8.38-39 seems strongly to teach eternal security. (Those who profess but live and die in unbelief were Biblically not true believers in the first place...)

Could this be a prelude to prophesy?

@Heart2Soul My perspective - such as it is - would be that the next event directly involving the church is the Lord's coming for the church (1 Thess. 4; 1 Cor. 11.26, etc.). In the strict sense, this is what we are looking for. Other events, seemingly partially fulfilled, are not the final...

    Joseph Wrongly Imprisoned

In this world, injustice can be presupposed...but the believer with a heavenly hope can keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2).

Mans Inability to come to Christ

@Christophany Ephesians 2 shows that without Christ man is dead in trespasses and sins; but it is by grace that he is quickened.

    Living Grace From Proper Identity

@soul man I think I've mentioned before: All of grace... "All of grace, yes, grace surpassing, Such a portion to bestow, But the love, all knowledge passing, Grace has taught us now to know. Love that bore the stripes and sorrow, Love that suffered on the Tree, Love that shares the bright...

    In Christ

A great verse to remember also is 1 Corinthians 10.32: "Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:".

Why Does God Allow The False Pre-trib Rapture Lie?

The question of the thread seems really to be a variation of "When did you stop beating your wife?"

    Doubt Versus Unbelief

Philippians 1.6... "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
