"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Well see thats just it Paul said work out your salvation. Which means you have it not that you were trying to work to keep it. Paul always worried he would be unqualified to give the gospel because he did something that made people question him,, We all should be worried about that/ If we are...

Everyone I know says they do. But when you hear them talk. They really do not They teach we should be afraid we can fall away. Now how can they claim to rely on Christ if they are relying on themselves to keep themselves from falling away

the responsibility of the moral law is perfection. Moses made that requirment Paul re asirted that requirment and James proved it by claiming we can obey every word yet just stumble in one point and we are guilty You have not made perfection. thus you have failed to meet that requirment all...

lol. If you are this way, You have not understood the word. nor that fact you have been saved, and have been given eternal life. No one is resurrected yet. Yet this same paul said to be absent from the body was to be present with the lord. We should all press on. Not in order to save...

Yep so who trusts the lord completely? Those who believe in Gods promise of eternal life to all who will receive his grace gift. or those who are trying to maintain their salvation by their own power and not fall away?

We love why? Because we are good people? Or because God first loved us. You can't claim you love God when you are tryign to earn his love by your actions.. and you can't claim you have the capacity to love when you refuse to allow Gods love to save you first..

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

well as John said those born of God can not sin, whoever sins has NEVER SEEN or KNOWN GOD. So I agree. many think they are saved and are not. in the same token, many think they are saved because of their works. and are not either. Lets make sure we are not in one of these groups

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

nah, we can't fall out. because we could not climb in. if we can actually fall out. we had to climb in, You can;t have it both ways. Grace is all of God. Not of works..lest anyone should boast. Should we not depend on God and stop trying to depend on self?

yep.. Those of us adopted into his family are one with him.

well when I bear false witness. I will take that into consideration. there is a huge difference between thinking you can obey the requirement (perfection) and admitting you understand you fail daily to obey the requirement. the penalty of sin is death. Not being baptized, taking communion and...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

yep, are you sinless? If not.. you fail to meet Gods standard. last I read/ only one man can make that claim, He died on the cross
  13. Eternally Grateful

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

If this is true, then Christ would need to come back and die again, Because his sacrifice only paid for past sin and not future. Your right the law is not done away with. It still requires that we confirm and obey every word. As james said, if we keep the whole law yet stumble in one point we...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

well everyone who rejects the gospel has committed the unpardonable sin. Denying christ would be rejecting the gospel. That person would also be an Antichrist. and John said they were never of us. They did not lose salvation, they never had it. God did not make a mistake by giving a person...

    Secure Eternal Salvation

You love to focus on James 2 yet totally ignore Romans 4. Instead of trying to find resolution. You just accept the passage that appears to support you while ignoring the other. God does not need you to prove your faith. He is not so weak he is unable to determine your faith is correct or not...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

for ALL have (are) sinned (sinning) and fall short of the glory of God If I can't meet Gods standard before or after salvation. It seems odd to claim I can lose salvation. because I did not live up to the standard or failed to keep myself at some level of sin which God requires.

Can the seal be broken? Lack of trust? Grieve the Holy Spirit?

Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, I am not quite sure how someone can call it mercy, when we are required to go to a place, get in front of a bunch of people...

Can the seal be broken? Lack of trust? Grieve the Holy Spirit?

one thing to remember is the fact he did not tell everyone to be baptized in acts 2: 38. Unlike the command to repent, when he spoke to everyone there. also, eis can not only be translated for "in order to receive" it can also be translated for "on account of"
