In The Beginning - The Godhead

I wonder if there is a better example, other John 1:1, of reading into unitarian text, one's trinity doctrine? Where do you get the idea that there is even a godhead contained in these verses? Where do you get the idea that words are WHO's (Jesus) rather than WHAT's (an attribute of being)? And...

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

No. I am not ignoring that in one or 2 instances plural pronouns are used to refer to God. It's just that cannot offset the 1,000's of times singular pronouns are used to refer to God.

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

Why does grasping foreign language usage of this word matter? You keep side stepping that God is referred to 1,000's of times using singular pronouns, which is proof text the Supreme Being is, as he says he is in the Sh'ma, singular (not plural).

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

OK, like animals, heavenly beings. Not all heavenly beings are God, right?

Do Men Have Authority Over Women?

I know there is a point in there somewhere related to the OP.

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

I reject the premise of your question. Yes or no, singular pronouns are used for God 1,000’s if times in the Bible? If a book entitled ‘Animals Of The Forest’ were to detail any contents, it would undoubtedly show one type of animal at a time. This is a bird. This is a fox. This is a toad. Even...

    One Spirit

Then why does the hierachy only mention 2 in 1 COR 11:3 and why does Jesus say the only true God is his Father in John 17:3, along with every Epistles prologue? (None mention acting on behalf of the HS)

    One Spirit

Honestly, I'm amazed this error keeps getting repeated. The biggest error of the KJV, imposing their trinitarian doctrine onto Scripture, 1 John 5:7-8. So there are three testifying witnesses: 8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood. All three are in total agreement. VOICE

    Did Jesus die on Friday?

    Oh? What was that?

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

Well, putting aside your personal attacks about my honesty, I am not making claims of translation. I speak English. I am Groot. You continue to ignore my concise observation that the singular pronoun is used 1,000's of times for God. What does this say about your honesty?

Where do you get your Authority?

I think you are confusing make a public confession with 'being honest.' While the obligatory, 'we all fall short of the glory of God' may be stated I do not believe, as you imply that each Biblical reading must begin with the reader publicly confessing that he or she has fallen short.

Where do you get your Authority?

Your question is a little too vague for me. What people? I thought your question was about those who assert moral authority over others, like rebuking a sinner or false teacher.

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

Yes, and you are superseding a note with the actual translation of God’s Word.

Do Men Have Authority Over Women?

Jesus is on our level. Acts 3:13 explicitly says Jesus is a servant of God, like Paul and like us. Beyond that, Jesus did not teach us to pray to his father but our Father.

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

Many people say I am. It it not a claim of deity. I already admitted that trinitarians desperate for anything reach for this I am business. There really is nothing more to say. See my thread on Gpd's personal name. Not sure what back door hope you are pinnig on the word meaning heavenly beings...

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

I already gave my honest response in post #105. Funny how you ask me about something I JUST explained.

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

No. The big reveal in Jesus ministry, his great "I am" is the son of God as Mark 14:61-62 shows. And I already made bold and underlined that NLT portion of John 8:24 that you are leaving out - who he claims to be. The most anti-trinitarian book in the whole Bible, John also explicitly tells us...

    ˒ĕlōhı̂m: Plural Persons, or Majesty?

Obviously, you are ignoring things, which I succinctly pointed out. In English, if God were not singular/unitarian, singular pronouns would not be used to refer to him 1,000's of times. In response to this observation, rather than address it, you get all offended?

God's Personal Name & New World Translation

In response to this thread, I came across a whole translation called NOG - Names of God translation. Fascinating.

God's Personal Name & New World Translation

Not at all. I did say that a paraphrase of the ONE name (Joe v Joseph) is not the same thing as a title. This is why the 1st answer in the poll has 3 options, his name paraphrased or translated. Again this is different than his title, LORD - used in some translations as his personal name. It's...
