    Spiritual Narcissism

...whereas the Lord Jesus 'humbled himself...' (Philippians 2).

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@soul man Yes, and a lot of Christians, instead of fighting it, embrace it instead and receive faith based designs that become really useful talking points.

    Paul's wisdom

@soul man Good to be able to encourage one another.

@Pearl I'm sure this is true.

    Spiritual Narcissism

@VictoryinJesus This is a great verse! :) Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be. [Chorus] Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by...

    Spiritual Narcissism

@Taken It's how it goes. Sometimes the family pressurizes...and then it rebounds on them...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@VictoryinJesus Anyway, one needs to remember seriously that today tattoo parlors are where so many who have artistic flair find an outlet in wide demand for their skills; and as a profession it's also opened up now greatly to women, hasn't it?

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Heart2Soul It might vary a bit but I agree that if they are going to do it, then 18 is a sensible age to do it for the first time. And do it they do...don't they? :)

    Vaping problems? / benefits?

@VictoryinJesus Yes, I'm sure this is true.

    Spiritual Narcissism

@Taken Well, I know of a man some weeks ago who wanted to die in his own home but his family persuaded him to go into a care facility, where he promptly caught the virus and expired.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

@Heart2Soul At around 18 they are almost inevitably curious as to what it feels like; but I don't think there's a limit of 18 in every US state, is there?

    Spiritual Narcissism

@Heart2Soul I enjoy Malachi, which speaks of the refiner's fire, etc.

    Spiritual Narcissism

@Taken It's a bit like that now, I reckon, not so much for the money, but I've told my wife that if I have another heart attack I don't want to go to the hospital in the current climate: better to rest at home with meds than to go into an atmosphere with lots of viruses and infections and be...

I like the Impressionist/Expressionist tendency of the colours in your avatar painting, anyway. And you never know, your daughter might eventually find her way to becoming a professional tattoo artist, etc.

    Increasing depravity...a sign?

    @Nancy I like @Prayer Warrior's screen name. Yes, it's a vital ministry. I do love Spurgeon.

    Increasing depravity...a sign?

I take your point; of course, some ppl could say that there is a lot of violence in the OT, but it's the spiritual context that is important.

    Increasing depravity...a sign?

PS: @2 Chr. 34:19 I love John Greenleaf Whittier's verse: "Drop Thy sweet dews of quietness Till all our strivings cease. Take from our souls the strain and stress And let our ordered lives confess The beauty of Thy peace, The beauty of Thy peace."

    Increasing depravity...a sign?

@2 Chr. 34:19 Tattoo documentaries & series; some have amazing artwork; but I won't get too off topic. Philippians 4.8 is such a wholesome exhortation to focus on what's good and wholesome that we would do well sometimes just to let our finger twitch to turn off the TV and instead open our...
