    Bible verses with beautiful photos

@VictoryinJesus I am reminded also of Psalm 46.10: "Be still, and know that I am God".

    earth

@VictoryinJesus A key is surely the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, to which great truths Paul confidently affirms: "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always...

    Jerusalem Is Above

@VictoryinJesus It's truly searching because those who so valued their Jewish heritage and looked to the earthly city of Jerusalem were actually ignoring the spiritual, heavenly one. Glorious things of thee are spoken, Zion, city of our God! He, whose Word cannot be broken, Formed thee for His...

Christians and the Law of Moses

Hi @Blood Bought 1953 Re. the law, what is striking from Hebrews 7 is that in verse 12 it says the law was changed and in verse 19 what we now have is better than the law.

Have you ever converted an atheist?

@K9Buck I think it's good to remember that if anyone is converted, it is because, as with Lydia in Acts 16, 'whose heart the Lord opened'. The Lord does indeed use instruments in blessing, although it's not merely about winning arguments.

What is our role as a Christian at this present time in the World?

All good things. Dispensationally the answer is that the Gospel rather than the law - as the Reformed constituency might claim - is the rule of the believer's life. Otherwise, passages such as Romans 14 would mean little, IMHO.

I ask the Trinitarians and the Jehovah's Witnesses...

We are evidently unable to communicate on this aspect of clear revelation in Scripture. Period.

Americans are unhappier now than they have been in 50 years

@Giuliano PS: The Mob Museum, Las Vegas, is a joint effort from ppl of a Mob and FBI background. Some might find their collaboration surprising, but then it's never stopped them before...

I ask the Trinitarians and the Jehovah's Witnesses...

The end of Matthew 28 contains the baptismal formula, referring to Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The NT is full of this foundational truth.

Americans are unhappier now than they have been in 50 years

@Giuliano PS: Pierre Trudeau up here used to talk about corporate welfare bums. If you owe the government an overdue $1000, you get a fine. If you owe the government $100 million, you own the government... Or, in the language of the robber barons of the Gilded Age, the corporations collecting...

Americans are unhappier now than they have been in 50 years

@Giuliano You mean, the cycle of narratives to help ppl complain against the government in order that they can more fully receive and depend upon the largesse of the government and be helped to complain against the government in order that they.........zzzzzzzz

Are you here to share and learn with others about Christ or are you here to win an argument?

Hi @K9Buck Good question. We never stop learning. I love the hymn by Anne Steele (born 18th century), who wrote: 'Oh may these hallowed pages be My ever dear delight! And still new beauties may I see, And still increasing light!'
