    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

So say you apart from the verse in question, which explicitly says God judges the works of people.

    HERESY?

Interesting. In my devotional reading in Daniel ‘the king of kings’ was identified as Nebuchadnezzar. If what AJ said is total nonsense, please identify that verse in Isaiah where he was calling God a trinity?

    HERESY?

The reason is clear. Trinitarians must create these false equivalents in order to support their doctrine. One example is to falsely assert ‘lord’ is a synonym for God. Jesus is NEVER called God Jesus but is called lord Jesus.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

There ya go! Setting me up to abide by your false standards. Just because a Bible embraces ‘dynamic equivalence’ does not make it faulty. Not only do I reject your premise, I reject your pejorative use of terms.

Summarize what the good news is, find a scripture.

It’s what you did. circular reasoning is When you use a conclusion as a premise to support your conclusion. It’s a bit like trying to assert something AS IF it is true by definition. P1. Birds fly south in the winter. P2. Birds are flying south. C. Therefore, it is winter because the birds are...

    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

Yea, lest you see how one truth connects to another truth! How we judge is in some ways the same as God judges - by the actions of others.

Well, we disagree then about Circular Reasoning.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Absolutely, I judge you for your foolish ways. Knowledgeable, you assert but lacks wisdom. There are millions of people like me. To paraphrase Jefferson, “If we had to go to God only through literal translations, we wouldn’t go.”

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

I’ll type this slowly so you can read it easier. The thought expression translations I’ve read do not use the pejorative term you do. The idolatry of translations by people like you keep people from God. I know because I was a victim. For decades KJVism-only kept me from reading Scripture. I...

Summarize what the good news is, find a scripture.

Interesting question. I never thought of equating something as false if it is not from God. For instance, many Eastern religions like Taoism and Buddhism are not false even though they godless. Buddhism is essentially an expansion of the 10th Commandment. The prohibition against coveting is not...

    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

Wow. Do YOU realize I was making an analogy to the Scripture verse that says people will be judged/rewarded by their works? The whole idea of God knowing our hearts is besides 2 points: (1), the verse about being judged based on our works; and (2). that we are saved by grace not what is in our...

    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

Sad to hear. What I’ve seen is people put their doctrine ahead of the actual word of God. I recall one poster who wrote she is not even going to look at the Biblical support as she does not believe it. Huh?

Summarize what the good news is, find a scripture.

Even to the point of claiming it is the central message of the Bible AND ones salvation depends on violating the 1C. Trouble is, Gods word saves us from such heresies as their claims are not found once in 66 books.

    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

Your doctrine is getting ahead of the Word of God. How does the verse about being judged by ones work = judging one by their heart?

Great point! In the NSRV, in the Book Ezekiel, the commonly translated ‘son of man’ is translated ‘o mortal.’ It makes one wonder what Jesus has to do to be considered one of us, fully and only man who is mortal than him calling himself that repeatedly?

    Purgatory - A Catholic's Understanding

It’s no mistake at all. The passage clearly says we will be judged by our acts, which is the common means we judge. Language usage. None of this changed who we are, nor does the passage suggest it. Appeal to STRAWMAN.

Summarize what the good news is, find a scripture.

Shows that even after being GIVEN (by God) all authority on Earth and Heaven, Jesus is STILL not God. And it is proper English to say the Revelation from God, given to Jesus. If you want to add, ‘who then gave it to John who gave it to us,’ that’d clarify further.

True but it does not pertain to the verse in question, does it?

LOL. I reference the clear text of God @ Rev 1:1 regarding who it was who gave the resurrected Jesus in heaven a revelation. Where is your open heart and research of it on the internet?
