    new version of OSAS?

We teach books, not 20 minute sermenettes (as I call them). We start a book from chapter 1 verse 1 and continue to the end. If a topic comes up it is taught.

    new version of OSAS?

I can teach the bible without giving people a list of works they need to do. I went through this legalistic teaching as a youth. And it did not work. for anyone.. Once I realized we just teach love God and others. Works flowed from me with out even thinking of it,.

    new version of OSAS?

You don’t get it I do Not have to teach works. I teach love and serve others teaching works is teaching we have to live up to some standard. That’s legalism

    new version of OSAS?

Jesus told me if we follow the law of love and Paul said if we seek after the things of the spirit we do not have to worry about being good. it will just happen. the jews focused on being good. So did my church growing up. Its why many people fall. when they realise how BAD they are. and the...

    new version of OSAS?

I can look at them and say they are good people But if they go boasting about how good they are. Something is wrong Legalists focus on works and being righteous and telling us we need to do this. Instead of telling people do Do what Jesus and others said, and focus on loving God and others...

    new version of OSAS?

which has been my point To many people want to focus on self and works. And not focus on loving God and others. So when we hear people tell us we need to be good. they are telling us to look inward not outward. We need to redirect them to the truth.. as a good friend of mine says, every day...

    new version of OSAS?

How does it work? When I look at myself and think I am such a good person. I look to Gopd and realise I am not really a good person. So I stop looking at myself and look to God and others to see who I can serve. How can you can look inside and think you are good? Unless you wanted down Gods...

    Justification by Faith Alone

the jews wanted to go back to egypt. They kept getting mad at moses. The never entered because they never had faith he who believed vs he who does not believe. The ones who had faith entered in (except moses for reasons we know) He who believes is not condemned, He who does not believe is...

    new version of OSAS?

I was a prodigal son for 5 years due to circumstances in my life. I never lost faith in the cross and my salvation,. or in God. I lost faith in the church and myself. I agree here. I have run food pantries myself. Yes, this is what we should be doing. in fact we should do more than this My...

    new version of OSAS?

His defenition is greater than mosaic law. So if your going to claim we are good. We need to use Gods definition. Not a watered down definition. That is what keeps us humble and tears down our pride of thinking we are righteous when reality is we are not.
  11. Eternally Grateful

    new version of OSAS?

your right But you said we must be good. I am trying to show you what GOD'S defenition of being good is. like I said, you forgot our conversation. lets go back to the beginning

    Justification by Faith Alone

no he died so that we may have life. not to give us another chance He gave us eternal life not conditional life.
  13. Eternally Grateful

    Justification by Faith Alone

it makes total sense. You start to condemn yourself. ie. You lose faith in your salvation. you start to question your salvation. people do it all the time
  14. Eternally Grateful

    Justification by Faith Alone

it does not say this But if you want to believe it go ahead the penalty of sin is death, the GIFT OF GOD is eternal life - the apostle paul Without the shedding of blood there can be no remission - the author of hebrews. so your sort of out of luck if future sin can cause loss of salvation...

    new version of OSAS?

If we lose our faith we stop believing if we stop believing we are an unbeliever, John calls these people antichrists he also said those who claimed to believe and lost it were never of us, if they were of us they never would have left, you don’t just lose faith. Unless you never truly had...

    new version of OSAS?

whatever, it is obvious you have forgotten what we are talking about you think you can be righteous, yet not even meet the guidelines of the commands of the law, you have no idea what righteousness is.
  17. Eternally Grateful

    new version of OSAS?

I never said we were under law. I used it as the guidline for what true righteousness is. why are you going off on this tangent? I used the law as a guidline. Your correct in that Gods guideline is greater. as he showed on the sermon on the mount. The issue is we can not even keep the letter...

    Justification by Faith Alone

we will have to agree to disagree on romans 14. We can not see eye to eye there. I have experienced what I see in that verse. so it is not just what I believe it is what I have experienced. Satan almost took me out because of it

    Justification by Faith Alone

1 John is clear If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves He also said those who live in sin have never seen God or known God Whoever is born of God can not live in sin You may say I added the word Live. But the greek is not just saying a child of God never commits any sin whatsoever...

    Justification by Faith Alone

its fine. I understand you can not answer, or do not want to or whatever... The problem is you can not question what I have felt or what I said since you can not answer yourself. The basis of my comment with which you disagree is based on this question. I am not just asking it and demanding an...
