    Discernment vs Critisism

@Scoot Philippians 4.8: 'Whatsoever things are true....' (etc.) is a good verse to remember, when it comes to seeking to think in a Godly way, by God's grace.

    A question about belief

John's Gospel, if read carefully, shows that Father and Son were in perfect unity in truth and actions. We need to remember this glorious fact.

    Mmm....... something

@2 Chr. 34:19 Yes, indeed; this is part of the quote; I could have included it.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@2 Chr. 34:19 I do find some linkages hard to see, especially if one is talking about the many Christians who are using Bible verse designs to witness. For example, if a preacher's son or daughter, as a keen young Christian, has John 3.16 inked on their wrist, it's hard to say they should be...

Thanks to all who voted so far in the poll! NB: If you have not yet voted in the poll, please vote now! :)

    Audio Bibles.

@2 Chr. 34:19 I have found this, too; often one needs to rewind. I do actually also find it helpful while driving along to think about the Scriptures in complete silence.

    Fellowship, what is it?

@Waiting on him Oh we can all be challenged in this respect. Anyway I do think what John's First Epistle says about fellowship is very helpful and searching.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

a t shirt with scripture quote is just as effective @2 Chr. 34:19 Oh I know, indeed. :) I guess a comparable idea is permanent eyeliner, for example (which is a form of tattooing); it's often done in order to save having to keep putting it on. All well within the bounds of modesty. Same...

The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 ...he would misquote or misapply; whereas the Scriptures properly read glorify Christ and His work at the Cross.

who is ‘a revenger to execute wrath’?

@VictoryinJesus You must be very blessed day by day when you mediate on such lovely, assuring Scripture verses.

    Mmm....... something

@2 Chr. 34:19 Good to remember from a Godward perspective what Hebrews 11.6 says: "He that cometh to God, must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him".

The golden calf and the Trinity

@Cooper This is also why it's such a blessing and so necessary daily to be immersed in prayer and the Scriptures.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@2 Chr. 34:19 It's a matter of individual preference of course, but anyway, I don't know about the UK but in North America it's something that is so well established that many Christians — instead of fighting the medium — embrace it instead, often with faith based designs that are proven highly...

    The Inconsistency of Antichrist's Covenant

@2 Chr. 34:19 Sad question indeed from Pontius Pilate; the Lord Jesus Himself said in John 17.17: "Thy word is truth", and this is what truly sanctifies.

The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 We do need to be well versed in Scripture and develop an instinct as to what glorifies Christ.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

PS @2 Chr. 34:19 Some ppl do of course only intend to get one and do simply get one done. But you're right; some ppl do end up getting more. Some Christians do find a Bible verse for example to be a high effective conversation tool in witness; I may have mentioned about the young lady that my...

The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 Well, it's an excellent place to go; but it's good to be able to quote it and use it in a sound and God honouring way.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@2 Chr. 34:19 I do think that in the scheme of things, since for several decades moms have worn sometimes doubled earrings (often at least 2 in each earlobe), then not only is it not unusual for daughters to do the same but also if sons like the idea of even 1 stud in one or both earlobes, it's...
