The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 Good for proper context to be maintained, right?

The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 In Ezekiel 16.12 the Lord Himself is recorded as giving Zion earrings and a nose ring also; seems to be part of the figurative language of imputed righteousness.

The golden calf and the Trinity

@2 Chr. 34:19 Good observation! It's good for ppl's content to be Scriptural, right?

    Fellowship, what is it?

In the end it's the sense and reality of the vertical fellowship that informs in a prior sense our Christian fellowship horizontally. "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son...

    Fellowship, what is it?

I'm reminded here of the words of John the Baptist: "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3.30).

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

source: allnurses dot com It's what nurses do, now. It's so self evidently mainstream. Even beyond the area of witnessing, it's so self evidently an effective conversation-starting tool.

    Fellowship, what is it?

@Waiting on him So I'm glad you quoted from John's First Epistle; it really is a treatise on the subject of fellowship, among other topics...

    Guide To The Post Tribulation

@Naomi25 Imagine an Australian, an American and a Canadian going back and forth: he said/she said; imagine the different accents, the different ways of coming to (jumping to?) conclusions.... A rich mix there... :)

    Fellowship, what is it?

@Not me What you say is an area that John's First Epistle is very relevant for.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Naomi25 May the Lord richly bless them as they seek His face for their lives! There is no need for anyone to rush into marriage; one should be sure, first. Thus also: there is no need for anyone to rush into getting a tattoo; one should be sure first.

I ask the Trinitarians and the Jehovah's Witnesses...

Hebrews 1 is clear about the Son of God's eternal character and pre-existence, from which so much flows in consequence.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Pathfinder7 So was there anyone there with tattoos? and did the person speak about them?

    Fellowship, what is it?

Amos 3.3 is relevant: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

    Guide To The Post Tribulation

Sometimes all the he said/she said in the dialogues can make some ppl think that a post refers to them, whereas it doesn't...

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Naomi25 Well, for both getting engaged and getting tattooed the precise age may differ a little from one jurisdiction to another. In North America, in many US states and in the Canadian provinces, it's 18 for a tattoo; in some states it's 16; in Idaho, 14, with parental permission, I think.

    The Twins

@2Chr. 34:19 If someone lives and dies in unbelief (whatever the pleasant profession), there never was a true work of God's grace in regeneration.

    Spotting the Heretic

@Waiting on him Hebrews chapters 9 and 10 are very clear indeed about Christ 'once offered'.

    Mmm....... something

@Entanglement So, do you like /find instructive what you see so far on the forums? :)

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

Re. It IS undeniable now that daughters tend to get those. But it's also undeniable that each and every inital tattooee should first of all have really personal reasons for having it done. (i.e., a radiant "Doing this now is really ME" rather than "This is them".)

    Lament Of The Prophet Jeremiah

    Indeed... :)
