Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

Jar: Seems like you have absolutely no regrets about using your tattoo opportunity - so mainstream now - as a faith expression opportunity.

    Coffee Shop (let's chat)

In some places, one could say that you can have all four seasons in one day; I guess in California, it's more likely all four seasons in one decade...

    Audio Bibles.

I've driven along in the past and listened to a CD with Scripture being read.

Poll: "ear piercings are fully accepted for both genders"

@marks FYI.....Did you see / vote in the poll, above?

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

@marks Reminds me of Philippians 1.6: 'He that hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ'.

    What is "Amazing Grace"?

The hymn Amazing Grace seems to be rooted in - for example - Ephesians' portrayal of God's wondrous grace.

Who raised the Messiah from the dead?

Hi @janc I would say the New Testament strongly testifies to God in Three Persons.

Poll: "ear piercings are fully accepted for both genders"

@Giuliano I think it makes them feel a bit more grown up when young ppl first do it. (Applies to young men as well as young women.) When you grown up, you don't need to regret feeling more grown up; no need to regret having it done, either.

    Temporal Salvation?

I don't share your evident reading of those verses that it's supposedly a case of being in and out, back and forth. Romans 8.38-39 is very clear; so is John's First Epistle; assurance of an established fact for the believer is very precious.

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Naomi25 Thanks for your poll vote! GodsGrace said: I see you voted for answer #1; because as GodsGrace said it's what young ppl nearly all seem to do now and it can be done by conservative ppl now, the answer you voted for does seem to be self-evident. Lots of opportunities are opened up for...

    Coffee Shop (let's chat)

@Rita I think that the weather can be a good picture of the human heart without the grace of God: it remains changeable... :)

    With God and was God?

@Backlit Great verses; the Lord graciously preserves those whom He saves...

    Gentleness

@Giuliano @Rita Here's another relevant verse: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (James 3.17)

    Temporal Salvation?

@Renniks I think if they don't have it, they never had it. Romans 8.38-39 strongly shows that those who truly have it will be kept, by God's grace.

Poll: "ear piercings are fully accepted for both genders"

@Rita Yes, this can be a good age to do it, can't it? For both genders, too, maybe (if they want it), don't you think?

    Gentleness

    @Rita, interesting point, yes...

    Salvation Through Baptism ???

Hi, Sir; this is what happened in Acts 2.41, right? they were baptized because they 'gladly received his word'; they didn't get baptized in order supposedly to become believers.
  19. F

    Gentleness

@Rita Jumping to conclusions quickly and making sweeping statements can be regarded as evidence of a supposed, strict "correctness'...but it's not necessarily spiritual mindedness, is it?
  20. F

    Gentleness

@Rita: Good comments; the fruit of the Spirit passage from Galatians is indeed relevant...
