    Reason for The Crusades explained

What would the Christian speaker have said if the Muslim had asked him if the crusaders loved their Muslim, Jewish, and Christian enemies?

    Reason for The Crusades explained

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1997/1639/regulation/4 The speaker was not “armed, ready to kill” the Muslim. The speaker was, in fact, a Christian.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Was the man speaking to the Muslim “armed, ready to kill” the Muslim? If he wasn’t, @Wrangler would have you believe that he isn’t a Christian.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Different. Very different. Obedience to the teaching of Jesus and the apostles doesn’t look like the Crusades. It isn’t followers of Jesus using the sword - “We do not use the weapons of the world” - that makes Christianity viable.

    By the By (Updated)

“Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.” (Isaiah 53:11, ESV) That is what I would say to his girl. That is what she must know.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

“Kill Saul of Tarsus!” No. God does not will it. ”You are not a follower of Jesus if you aren’t armed, ready to kill.” - @Wrangler That’s not true.

    Reason for The Crusades explained

What if we sub out Saul of Tarsus and sub in Khalid ibn al-Walid (aka “Sayf Allah” -> “The Sword of Allah”)? What if at the same time we also sub out the earliest followers of Jesus living in Damascus and sub in the Byzantine Christians? Do we get the same outcome or a different outcome...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

You’re a follower of Jesus, living in an area populated with Christians and non-Christians. Saul of Tarsus is coming, and he’s coming for you and your family members. What do you, who counsel violence and killing your enemies, do? What did the followers of Jesus do? They remained faithful to...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

“Kill all Christians.” “I really hate Christians.” “I long for the death of Christianity.” “Death to Christianity.“ Is hell too good for that person? If the person who uttered those words had lived at the time of the Crusades and had come into contact with the crusaders, they would have...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

From World War I - Who are the Hun? Germany and the German people. Christians. We have Christians saying to Christians -> Hell is too good for you. What do you think about that? Can you not see how appalling that is? Can you not hear how appalling that is? Let’s back up to the Crusades...

    Reason for The Crusades explained

Followers of Jesus are in process of becoming like Jesus; being prepared to rule the nations with him when he returns. The destiny of the followers of Jesus is service in his government. Bodily resurrection from the grave Jesus experienced it. His followers who die before he returns will...
