Paul was not sent, specifically, to reveal the end times. He was chosen to reveal the Gospel of the Grace of God, which Jesus gave to HIM personally, and Paul defines as "My Gospel". He was also responsible for delivering to the body of Christ, what we understand as "church doctrine".
