My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

Hebrews 1 says: 'Thy Throne, O God, is for ever and ever'. His glorious Sonship did not depend on the Incarnation; rather, the glory of the Incarnation lies in that the eternal God became Man.

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

If you look at similar wording in Acts 13 and Psalm 2, the Resurrection is apparent.

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

God in Three Persons is shown in many New Testament passages: end of Matthew 28, John's Gospel, esp. ch.s 13 thru 17, Romans 8, John's First Epistle, etc.

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

Hebrews 1 confirms that the Son is eternal. John 1.14 confirms that the eternal Word is the only begotten Son of God.

if you had a choice between a tattoo girl you can fix or new fresh start what would you choose?

Shroud of Turin: Absolute proof the man seen in it is Jesus Christ

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11.6)

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@atpollard Hi, Sir; did you see / vote in the poll above that I started?

    Pre-Destined Elect - simplified.

@atpollard I'm not Reformed (I struggle with projecting logical structures onto Scripture; at least, this is what it seems to me that a lot of the Reformed constituency does). However, I do indeed think there is plenty of Scripture to support each of the propositions referred to by the acrostic...

Poll: Does the mainstreaming of tattoos open up increasing opportunities for faith ink witness?

@Pathfinder7 Sounds like they were trying to be reasonable. Sometimes, in some circumstances, getting (further) tattooed can seem like an eminently sensible and positive thing to do. For example, if a soundly converted Christian woman has a tattoo of the name of a non-Christian ex-bf (e.g...

'Death is swallowed up in victory' -When?

Great chapter: 1 Corinthians 15; and verse 57 speaks of the victory!
